NURSE HATE THREAD???

why are nurses liked again?
I mean they do a lot of work, and are usually the people you spend the most time with at the hospital normally. I agree the complex is annoying, but not every nurse wants to go to med school anyways. Idk not a great shit post overall like 5/10.
Yeah. Nurses perform a bunch of necessary functions that would be prohibitive and wasteful to use doctors for. Some of them are stupid. Some engineers are stupid. What matters is that they do their job correctly, and most of them do.
>Idk not a great shit post overall like 5/10.
aye.
Nurses perform work that, while important, doesn't warrant the type of pay doctors receive. They're a necessary part of the medical system.
What I can't stand is the fucking messiah complex that most of them have.
They're liked cause they're sluts.
>haha we wheel people around the hospital, wipe fat americans sharts off their asses and deal with stinking old people colostomy bags
>also we watch some numbers on a screen and call the doctor when anything starts beeping
Yeah, real advanced, real essential "workers" we got here. How is any different from cleaning mcdonalds toilet, idk?
It really is a shame that because nurses make Trump look bad, assholes are trolling them on Yas Forums
The last two nurses I met were male. One was about 6'7'' (no shit) like Michael Phelps. He didn't give a fuck about nuthin. No judgement. The second one was a lifer, about, fifty, fat, and also didn't give a fuck. But both were super competent. 10/10
Everyone else ITT: HURR DURR ME MAD NURSES WERE SMART ENOUGH TO GRADUATE COLLEGE AND MAKE MORE THAN I EVER CAN
It is a misconception that "Nurses think they are as good as doctors."
They are very different roles. It is the doctor's job to devise a course of treatment. It is the nurse's job to carry it out, monitor, and report back if it worked.
Docs only spend literally 2-5 min with their patient in a 24 hr period. The nurse is the doc's eyes and ears. They are supposed to recognize when shit hits the fan and act accordingly while trying to keep the patient alive while the crash team gets there.
It is a lot of menial labor (passing meds, ass wiping, and coddling), but it also comes with highly skilled assessment on top of those things.
Also, if the nurses ever quit, have you ever seen a doc struggle to do the most simplest tasks that nurses are ordered to do?
Also, if you ask senior attendings, many of them tell their residents and interns, "When a seasoned nurse tells you something, you better listen." You'd be surprised about how many doctors learn from nurses about what to do.
Literally a doctor is just the “stamp of approval.” My sister is the leading nurse practitioner for my area, huge reputation, and has told us stories. Nurses are what we grew up thinking doctors should be doing for patients. Every nurse is different, but I can say coming from a family which has four nurses, I can say they earn their keep (but not the attitude).
You''d be surprised how much nurses know. They take care of a lot more patients then doctors.
LOL Male nurse here. Last Year, I made $130k only working 3 days a week.
Best return on such a low cost of educational investment.
BASED
Did you ask a nurse for a date and she turned you down or something?
Its a good thing some nurses are dumb as fuck, just to balance out this statement.
cool story bro but stfu motherfucking troll
my last impression of nurses came before i went back to college. i learned to truly appreciate the power of academia and what kind of person it makes you into. my memories of them is that they have less class and slower sense than any STEM bachelor's graduate.
then, i know my professors in computer science are PhDs, but even though CS is almost as wide and expanded as medicine, especially if you go as far as PhD, it isn't the same. true doctors are like x2 in terms of sheer knowledge and strategy of my professors aside from the rare genius.
anyway, it's the composure. this makes me think of the film "pathology" which was a lion's gate horror film. it's about near doctor's who have lost so much humanity and have scary skills and can barely stand life so they come up with a game to kill people in ways other doctor's would have trouble figuring out. they have gone too far with the strong composure real doctors have that nurses rarely come close to.
Seriously, look it up. Starting salary for a Bachelor's prepared RN in NYC is 100k
Medschool here
Im gonna be better than you soon
How does it feel to be inferior?
The virgin nurse vs the chad doctor
130k yen isn't great....
>wipe fat americans sharts off their asses and deal with stinking old people colostomy bags
there is a job to be done then?
Experiences nurses keep doctors from killing patients. Without Nurses and medical assistants doctors would never get anything done, or do anything right. I am not saying doctors are incompetent. Quite the opposite. Its just a a degree and a title can get to your head, or you get lazy. Sometimes its just inexperience. Or arrogance. But in most cases its just that doctors arent trained the same way nurses and other medical assistants were. They are performing completely different tasks. When i worked briefly in a hospital, i witnessed on several occasions where medication was prescribed on the spot by the doc. When the doctor left the room, the nurses refused to give the patient the dose, because it would have been the last dose of his life. It would have killed him. Somtimes i witnessed doctors butchering the simplest tasks, or not knowing how to perform them at all. Doctors came in all the time while i kept cleaning and only ever have seen the patient on paper, ignored the advice of the nurses who have been working with the patients for weeks, if not months, and just ordered to do something thats would have been harmful to his health. Always remember that nurses are there for a reason and no matter the flaws, just hope they do their job right. A good doctor works WITH them and knows what he doesnt know. I also have seen this and god damn, they were good at their jobs.
But yes, i have also witnessed and met really bad nurses with bad attitudes, who really thought that they were better than medical doctors. Altough i can understand where they are coming from, if you do a shitty job and actually weaken the effort of everbody around you, you can go fuck itself no matter the degree or training. The best medical doctor i have ever met was a woman that started as a nurse and used her job to pay for university, so she went on to become a doctor. Very competent, down to earth and a team player. Never ever gave she off the impression to be a god in white.
I have to say this thread backfired beautifully, truly a masterpiece OP
kek
No inferiority complex here. Live your journey, bro. I'm just glad to be making that much with only 4 years of undergrad degree.
I live with many residents that just graduated. It will be 4 years after they graduate before they start making as much as I do (not even including debt)
Anyway, It is a very different job. I applaud you for going to MedSchool. I hope it is the job you really want.
Open an office and hand out pot cards. Thats the future, bro.
And then there is this guy
what the hell
You just need 4 years more to earn tons more and be a doctor
Just do it
4 years go fast
I think nurse undergrad gets you into med
As a nurse, I agree with this. Call me sexist, I don't care. There is too much catty/bitchiness going around and too little stoicism.
I still applaud them for ding the work nurses do, but I wish they could be a little bit more chill about it.
No one gives a fuck
Can you tell me what is wrong with me, Mister Fancy Ass?
You need more eggs.
it is 4 years undergrad 4 med school and 2-4 years as an intern/resident. that is 6 additional years of debt to break even with a nurse's starting salary.
I agree that MD pay is a MUCH higher ceiling, but if you don't want debt or don't have a family to support you with it, it isn't worth the expense.
Am nurse, am dude, i like what i do, i used to work in warehouses and lift shit up, went into nursing because i didnt want a desk job but still earn ok money, dont think im smart, respect doctors for what they do, i just keep my head down and do my job and try not to fuck up.
Just get a scholarship bro
Well said, bro. I'm right there with you. Nursing was my 2nd carrier. I'm lucky enough to get into a field where I have the stability to support my family.
Clock in, Get it done, Clock out.
Fuck autocorrect. Career*
OP failed at nurse-school
I wouldn't even say the problem is that doctors' degrees go to their heads, it's more of a numbers problem. A doctor is normally going to have more patients than they can handle. A nurse is there to help even up the ratio. With fewer patients, the nurse can keep track of things to a greater degree. Sure, it would be better if we could just have more doctors, but that isn't possible both from a financial standpoint and also from the fact that the lack of people willing or able to complete the training to become a full doctor.
Nope in medschool atm;)
Their work doesn't warrant doctor's salary... and they also don't get doctor's salary. What's the problem here?
Um, that's Natalie Mars. AKA Natalie Lovescum. AKA a pornstar. AKA I wanna fuck her so bad. AKA yeah, sure I'm gay whatever.
Ah. That's why. You haven't actually worked. Your tune will change once you become an intern or a resident.
They aren't asking for a doc's salary. They are making $100k while GI attendings are making $400k
Lol you are literally nothing right now and your opinion means even less.
That caption in the picture isn't even insulting. If they have their shit together with a decent career and don't rely on a man, then good for them lol. You're just a miserable cunt, cunt.
