Explain this to a non-american, please?
Explain this to a non-american, please?
room must be 5 star hotel with whores on top 24/7/365
We gotta give the poor unfortunate millionaires all the money possible
Nothing to explain until you look at the end and see how much insurance covered and how much you owe them
Hospitals charge a lot of money, you'll get the same prices in other countries but the key difference is, in non USA countries, the government usually pays the cost but in the USA, either private or government insurance companies pay it.
Nobody actually ends up paying that much, they usually pay nothing if they have a good health insurance policy or they pay a few thousand.
Hospitals aren't rolling in the cash so if you call them and tlel them you intend to pay off debt if you have it, they'll give big discounts to you (more than 50%) and also they can work in installments.
Has something to do with insurance companies and how the prices are negotiated with the hospitals through a middle man
Insurance wants to pay the least. The middle men want the hospital to charge more, so they can turn around charge the insurance more.
Probably explained it badly its just price negotiation. Other countries pay less cause the gov often times negotiates the prices. Instead of the middle men we use in america.
Murrican here. Basically, the insurer will attempt to deny all claims. The healthcare providers inflate the cost of services so if a claim actually goes through they get paid more. This is one industry that could actually benefit from a greater degree of government regulation.
not all insurances cover 610,000+
it is my freedom to let corporations make as much money as possible off me when i get sick. eurocucks wouldnt understand that kind of freedom, because your all cucked faggots.
Agreed. So how much did they fucking cover?
Hospitals are run by lawyers now. This is law 101.
> sue for 10 times what is fair
muh freedums!
the guy bought the hospital room, had a heart attack & new lungs, plus got his hearing tested while he was there.... oh...... and a $99 happy ending
like 5k/year
>you'll get the same prices in other countries
American here. Health care system is bullshit. Room & Care is 428k? You kidding me?
what a fantastic way to increase efficiency and reduce transaction costs
No you dont. They are more regulated elsewhere. There is nothing stopping a hospital from charging you 1mil dollars for a bandaid in the US.
Nice chart. Check out the list of the cheapest countries ... yeah, I’d rather let my insurance pay for a US hospital than any of those. Your leaders fly to our country in their private jets because the quality of care in your country is shit. Google the Mayo Clinic airport.
this is the price of the average pediatrician visit in America, and the average american has one a year until they're 13 years of age. We're all multi-millionaires here. Anybody making less than 8 digits is a chump. Even our homeless frequently make 200 grand a year begging for scraps
agreed, i mean insurance dipends from your wage. Misadventures and incidents don't
Key word being if you have good insurance. Which most Americans simply dont.
Not to mention that a "good" insurance will still try to kick you off the moment start using it.
Had a buddy of mine who had good insurance because his wife was very sick.
The insurance company would cancel their entire plan out of the blue and claim that he didnt pay his monthly. He literally had to call and provide receipts that he did every other month.
He did this every other month for the 3 years I worked with him.
We had full conversations about it, his insurance would cancel his plan, he had to call (during work hours) to provide proof that he paid, they would try to change his plan so he would pay MORE saying that "oh well since we canceled your plan your plan isnt available but we have these"
It's all a scam. It's all bullshit.
>the american cannot fathom that he pays almost twice the amount of fucking switzerland and norway in healthcare cost
surprise
There is nothing stopping you from charging the hospital 1mil dollars for your presence in the US, either. It all balances out.
When 15% of your country and 75%-90% of your medicare is used by illegals, that will happen.
you shouldn't talk about money it's rude
yeah of course -- its the poor people's fault! please, imbibe me further with your divine knowledge.
Yeah that's fake
Gender reassignment surgery is not free
Ausfag here
>Snapped my humerus last year
>Two nights in hospital
>World class surgery screwing the bone back together
>Four boxes of pain meds
>10 physio sessions
>”That’ll be $32 thank-you”
Damn is feels good to not be American
illegal doesn't imply poor, but it's a national healthcare system, not an international one. healthcare is not a human right.
True, but so is OP's (((pic related))).
mmm, some obscurely cited factsheet as a counter-argument. please, give me more of this forbidden fruit
they're really good at understanding god
ah yes, sorry i forgot about all the billionaire illegals. they exist in such abundance they are easy to overlook
hey, but at least it's a very efficient system right? :^)
>obscurely cited factsheet
Citations at bottom.
>a counter-argument
Now you're just making shit up.
