Is $5 on a $65 bill considered an acceptable tip?
Is $5 on a $65 bill considered an acceptable tip?
No tip is a perfectly acceptable tip.
12 bucks for a $65 tip.
Well 15% on 65 is $9.75
20% is $13.00 so no, not an acceptable tip
I never tip
Ahhh this thread again, where Amerifats pretend it isn't just 3rd world countries that enforce a tipping culture
...
Going to simp hard here and ask just who is she?
Americans are retarded.
would she consider the tip of my penis acceptable foreplay?
Do they not tip in places like Europe and Russia? Amerifat here. Genuinely want to know
in europe we pay our waiters a decent salary exactly like any other job
tipping is retarded.
I mean I totally agree with that logic. But can you still tip your wait staff? Like I always do 20% tip but if my wait staff is really awesome to me I'll do 30%.
Was gonna say thay europeans rarely tip
Blacks and canadians are the worst.
Tipping is unacceptable and unnecessary in a developed society.
A $1 tip should be considered a gift, as are all tips. If you're upset that your shitty boss doesn't pay you enough because he assumes tips will bring your wage up to an acceptable amount, then get a different fucking job.
Jobs in the service industry are for people with absolutely no marketable skills, which is why the service industry is generally full of young girls, single moms, blacks, and semi-functional drug addicts.
Basically i consider tipping to be the same as giving money to a homeless man, i know he's just gonna waste it, but i do it to make myself feel good.
Reverse image search is coming up with nothing, I'd like to know who this fine lass is.
>I mean I totally agree with that logic. But can you still tip your wait staff? Like I always do 20% tip but if my wait staff is really awesome to me I'll do 30%.
Imagine paying extra for your meal because an employee did their fucking job. How dense do you have to be?
I'm a socialist i don't tip, because tip is tax free.
acceptable tip for carryout, that's it.
Why would you want to throw away a fiver for nothing?
I was taught the 5 on every 20 rule so for a $65 meal I would do 15.50 as my tip. What %age that is I'm not sure
Uh uh, I don’t tip. No, I don’t believe in it. … Don’t give me that, if she don’t make enough money she can quit. … I don’t tip because society says I have to. All right, I mean I’ll tip if someone really deserves a tipping, if they really put forth the effort, I’ll give them something extra, but I mean this tipping automatically, it’s for the birds. I mean as far as I’m concerned they’re just doing their job. … She was okay. She wasn’t anything special. … Look I ordered coffee all right? Now we’ve been here a long fuckin’ time, she’s only filled my cup three times. When I order coffee I want it filled six times. … The words “too fuckin’ busy” shouldn’t be in a waitress’ vocabulary. … Jesus Christ, these ladies aren’t starving to death. They make minimum wage. I used to work minimum wage and when I did I wasn’t lucky enough to have a job that society deemed tip worthy. … You know what this is? It’s the world’s smallest violin playing just for the waitresses. … So is working at McDonald’s but you don’t feel the need to tip them do you? Well why not? They’re serving you food. But no, society says don’t tip these guys over here, but tip these guys over here. That’s bullshit. … Fuck all that. … I mean I’m very sorry the government taxes their tips. That’s fucked up. That ain’t my fault. I mean it would appear that waitresses are one of the many groups the government fucks in the ass on a regular basis. I mean show a piece of paper that says the government shouldn’t do that, I’ll sign it, put it to a vote, I’ll vote for it, but what I won’t do is play ball. And this non-college bullshit I got two words for that: learn to fucking type, ’cause if you’re expecting me to help out with the rent you’re in for a big fucking surprise.
Fuck you.
I never tip.
have fun being a waiter the rest of your pathetic life.
I was going to say you forgot to mention the prevalence of ex-cons in the service industry, but listing blacks covers most of that.
I'm not dense you fucking retard. I live in a tipping society. So I do what I can so other people can live. Trust me I wish wait staff made a livable wage here in the USA but they don't so I do what I can when I eat out.
American tipping system is retarded.
You give tens of dollars to someone who notes an order, then moves a plate of food about 10 metres. This is literally all they are employed to do, yet they get extra pay for simply doing their piss easy job.
But do you tip the fireman who comforts your daughter after he pulls your burnt and mangled wife from the wreckage?
Do you tip the guy who worked late to fix your power line in the freezing cold night?
No, because yank scum hate giving to someone who has actually gone above and beyond in their actually useful jobs.
Not this shit again. Go home yuropoor
>Is $5 on a $65 bill considered an acceptable tip?
You only tip what you think they deserve, if they did enough you tip what you think is appropriate. If you were waiting at all or they didnt do more than they are required too, they dont get anything.
>they dont get anything.
Period.
Nice bait you fucking jew. Please don't post any more bait. I'm tied of calling out all the jews.
>You give tens of dollars to someone who notes an order, then moves a plate of food about 10 metres. This is literally all they are employed to do, yet they get extra pay for simply doing their piss easy job.
Yea, because most servants are entitled enough to think they dont need to respect the customer. Newsflash, the customer is your boss and even more so when you are begging them for more money, so treat them well and they will do the same.
As an added point, tipping based on a % of your bill is the most retarded thought that ever ran through a persons head. Imagine you go into a restaurant and splash out, you get all the most expensive items, champagne, lobster, etc. Why should that result in you tipping a larger amount? If i get a standard meal with beers and maybe a dessert i know its gonna run me £20-£30 per person, 20% of that is £4-6. Whereas if i splash out in a nice place it could end up costing me upwards of £80 per person, that being a £16 tip per person, at which point i'm tipping more than the price of the average meal. Why should me spending more money in an establishment warrant me having to tip more? Shouldn't i be tipping less? If you're splashing out somewhere and buying the items that yield them the highest profit margins in terms of expensive items (obviously things like fries are generally your highest profit item), then you're basically the exact type of customer keeping that business running. Instead of me tipping you, how about you thank me for my custom by sucking the taste off my balls.
I tip £5 for myself no matter what my bill is, unless the service is absolute dog shit. I have a manual labour job, i don't need to listen to some whiny kid complain about having to occasionally carry plates after i've been sweating all day.
a $65 bill is already unacceptable
hope covid shuts down whatever place charges that much
>As an added point, tipping based on a % of your bill is the most retarded thought that ever ran through a persons head
How about places that charge a flat rate for the tip? Usualy its way more than you would usualy tip and the waiters are lazy as fuck because they dont do anything more than the most basic service.
"What you do is barely a job. You should be thankful you get paid at all"
i don't tip. nor will i ever subsidize someone's poor choice in employment.
