Correct. But outsiders that blame us have the same sad lack of perspective that we do. Weak Americans like me have liquor stores and tasty food on every street corner to help us get over our shitty work days. Yeah, we don't break our backs (most of us) but we're left bored, tired, and angry. Our culture has degenerated into a cycle of "my job didn't give me a sense of purpose... I just stocked shelves, dealt cards, filled mustard jars, etc... my life means nothing but the next beer or the next fuck or the next hour of video games."
Modern life is safe and comfortable, even for a lot of the poor in the first world, and the truth is that safety and quick pleasure takes from the challenge that makes the rewards worth it. America is a culture built on that premise.

The FDA is an organization that refuses to take hold on our country and whatever party they may have been started by, the real fault lies in capitalism sucking the cocks of farming lobbyists. The sugar lobby in the 80's burnt ridiculous amounts of money convincing us that all fat was bad, and selling us sugar-loaded "fat free" products. The farmers lobbied for corn, their easy to grow profit crop, to be put into everything from food to gas. And don't pretend they're innocent. Soil bank is a fucking crime against the poor. A bribe to drive up prices.

Except its not? How we digest and use sugar depends on the different kind of sugar it is, like mono, di and polysaccarhides and if the sugar is inside fibre like in fruit. There's nothing wrong with lead. It made things last forever, which killed business in the automotive and paint industries. So those industries lobbied to get it classified as dangerous to force people to buy inferior products that they would have to replace more often.
There's nothing wrong with American nationalism either. You may have noticed that a flu basically shut down most globalist endeavors. A self-sufficient nation can weather a shutdown a lot better than a globalist one.

This is a lie. Excessive sugar is terrible for your body, but you can eat all the fat you want. In fact, if you don't eat fat, your body works harder to store it. Fat also helps you process sugar. If you consume enough, your body will use what you consume for immediate energy instead of storing it. See: French Paradox (The French drink tons of wine, which is sugary - but they don't get fat. It's because they eat lots of cheese which is high in fat)
