I'll go with another strange flood.
The Great Whiskey Fire of Dublin from 1875. Imagine rivers of burning alcohol heading straight towards you. Motherfuckers started drinking that shit anyways.

>Chernobyl

The Halifax Explosion. Pretty fascinating

Centralia mine fire. Basically a mine fire that made Centralia a ghost town and will continue burning for 250 years

More people died from alcohol poisoning than the fire lmao

I've always wanted to visit that place. Apparently it still has a couple residents

yeah if I'm ever in PA I might pay it a visit

Gretzky pics a Canadian disaster of course

On hot summer days in the north end you can still smell the molasses.

My grandmother was a nurse and was on the train from Boston to Halifax after the explosion. She also lived in the North End of Boston when the molasses flood hit and helped victims of that disaster. After that one she said the smell of molasses made her vomit.

I worked in the North End for 5 years. Used to walk right past the site of where the vat burst. Even on hot days you couldn't smell it.

jesus that's crazy.
