What I more surprised about is the timing of release. The US took DRASTIC MEASURES calling for the social distancing back in January.

What's interesting about this news story is this particular potential origin has been fought against every step of the way. They've consistently taken a "no way, definitely not and you're a nutjob for thinking that" approach any time its been suggested that its a little fishy that this lab is right next to the outbreak and happens to be studying this exact family of virus.
Now they're changing their tune that maybe it might be - which is consist when the media backtracks on a previous stance. They don't go "oh we were wrong" straight away, they go to a maybe it might be and then into the fact that actually yes, those "nutjobs" were right all along.
Stop taking it as a face value and look at the broader media picture over a series of months and you'll spot these patterns. Yes the article doesn't confirm that the Wuhan lab was the origin, but for them to change their stance so suddenly suggests there's something going on.
