Who does this remind you of?

My home growing up.
House was next to a dangerous curve following a long straight often used for racing. In a stupid attempt to cut down on the racing, town moved the stop sign from the side road to the main road.
Result, 2-3 serious accidents a year, many involving a car hit from the side and being pushed into the path of a tree. Fortunately this popular tree was owned by the town, so no one ever tried to sue us.
