Is this even a question? Swim, and that's only because of the fact that there isn't the obviously op technique and conditioning wrestlers have against non grapplers. Really neither are gay though and both are incredibly useful skills and those who have the natural talent for it are extremely gifted and typically high testosterone individuals, but by the stipulations of the question I would say swimming only due to the combat aspect, because most people are on land and most people are not quickly swimming about.
