Any guitarists on Yas Forums?
What's your favorite amp? I've been researching far and wide, and I think that the Mesa Boogie Mark 5, the Marshall JCM 800, and the Peavey 6505+ are the best amps for my kind of music (rock and metal).
I'm going to get the Peavey amp because I don't have enough money for the Mesa or the Marshall.

The new 30 watt version of the Soldano SLO 100 is fire. Peavey is a good amp for the price
I stick to anything Marshall or peavey but one of my favorite and best amps I own is a orange crush. Orange brand amps have always been the best for me.

Yeah, the 6505+ has a really great thrash tone, it roars a little bit like a Marshall. Great amp. I can't wait to jam on it.
it depends on what kind of sound you're ultimately looking for, and I'm hardly an expert.
I can tell you I love grunge and punk and I'm a LesPaul/Marshall person who leans towards Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and then you got the Fender/Peavey guys that are lighter and whinier (like Nirvana)
I love my LesPaul, its rosewood fretboard and my Marshall. Heavy, rancid, crunchy
I just couldn't get into Orange amps, it just had too much bass for me. I could see maybe using it for a specific kind of creation, like stoner doom maybe, but I couldn't see using it as a general use amp. It still sounds great though. What do you like about Orange?
