And what do you do when the landlord's lender forecloses on the property?

Why not simply pull from your emergency fund, while cutting back on spending, relying only on your passive income?

That's exactly what I am doing.
I know you're probably trolling, but I have an emergency fund for me. I'm now taking care of my mom (substitute teacher who can't work or get UE), my wife, me, and my daughter. Also, trying to help friends and extended family.
My passive income, is my rent checks from my properties I put blood, time, and money into.

Now, one renter, I've already told not to worry about. She always paid on time, but she was furloughed, and was basically a domestic violence escapee from a small town. She has a child and NO SUPPORT from family.
The problem is, the asshole that lives in the neighbor unit, is demanding the same treatment. Despite him still being paid (quite more than anyone I know).

I'm also doing reno- on two other properties with tenets still in them. (Light kitchen updating) And I need to make sure heat, garbage, water, ect. still get paid for all of these people.
I have 5 renters, 5 upkeeps, 5 possible emegencies that have to be responded to.
I have 3 people that have not paid rent.
Is it fair for me, or the other 2 still paying?
I guess you think it's fine.

And, I guess I'll be fine. But if I'm forced to sell my properties (2), then I know a few people that won't be okay.
And the whole thing is just the haha unfair game to you, and you care not for karma or balance. But if you're being serious, and you've never worked a hard day in your life because of sucking at your parents teet all your life... fuck you.

Move out pussy.

To be fair, that's what emergency funds are for

i am not trolling, i am deadly serious. We millennials are going to overthrow this capitalist system and chop off the heads of landlords like you.

Enjoy your life cause it may not last much longer.

Did you just call the landlord family man succeeding at life an incel??

tbh this is what landlords get for not using rent as a source of supplemental income and not saving money.

i hear a lot of other landlords whinge nonstop about ohhh how i will i be able to pay for anything and it's like. you own six properties. where was that money going? how are you that bad with your money?

girls can get their rent paid pretty easy, just start sucking dicks

Not every landlord is a real estate magnate. Tons of landlords spend most/all of their income paying mortgages on other properties, they aren't just sitting on tens of thousands of dollars every month with no expenditures. If you're expecting your landlord to have savings, you should also expect yourself to have savings.

fuck em, eat the rich

Did you just not read the comment? Landlords aren't these universally rich people, there are a ton of working class people who rent out homes and properties. You seem to have this idea in your head that every landlord is Scrooge McDuck diving into a pool of money, demanding you throw more in, when in fact it's just as likely a single mom who needs that income to support her kids.

I get where you're coming from, I'm a landlord myself which is why I find this whole angle so baffling. It's stupid to stretch yourself out too thin or to put all your eggs in one basket. That just seems like basic finance.
