When was your favorite era for the website YouTube? How do you remember it changing, over the years? Has anybody else used YouTube during the mid-to-late 2000s? What do you miss about early or middle YouTube eras versus within the recent past few years?

It was originally about the videos, now it's about the people making videos
YouTube is just another form of social media now

GooTube is full of shills and normies now, its a slow motion car crash.
I miss back when Shane Dawson was starting out, hes always been a fag but he used to do sketchs with characters and it just felt like someone was having fun creating something for everyone to enjoy.

>YouTube is just another form of social media now
Interesting point, but didn't YouTube once even more so resemble a social media website? They used to have kind of a MySpace thing going on, very early on during the last decade, and during the end of the 2000s.

I miss when it was just some guy/girl uploading dumb shit made in Windows Movie maker.

>Windows Movie maker.
Does that programme exist anymore?

Lol what a fucking poofter ass fag you watched that aids carrying faggot dyke trannyboy?

Youre not fooling me this time Goldberg

I gave him the aids

Yes

Either 2011 or 2009 or 2016.

2009 was good because it had Gay William Johnson and Fred and all this cringe. It was exciting and new to me. 2011 was good for gaming and trolling, and 2016 was the prank era.

Best time was 2007-2010. No clickbait, no annoying ass youtubers with product placements and 10min bs. Just me watching Jumpstyle, hardstyle, Melbourne shuffle videos of people dancing and simpson clips

I don't think of Youtube in 'eras'. The vast majority of Youtube content has always been shit. It was always your job to rummage through the garbage to find creators or even single videos worth watching. That core feature hasn't really changed all that much.
The only 'era' kind of thing I can see is this recent push to move Youtbe away from individual creators and more in the direction of network television. You know, with them incorporating established celebs and formats like Will Smith, The Rock and late night shows with all them Jimmys.

I also miss reply girls as annoying as they were

Cringe

>I also miss reply girls as annoying as they were
Explain what reply girls were, please.

I enjoy where it's at. it's big enough you can literally find literally anything, even alt-right things, considering the active censorship by google. the click-baity buzzfeed crap I don't watch, it doesn't even show on my home page. the algorithm does a good enough job of predicting things I would enjoy

A reply girl was a type of female YouTube user who uploaded video responses to popular YouTube videos, at a time when such responses were displayed prominently by the site.

In 2012, YouTube gave significant weight to video responses when suggesting further viewing for any given video, putting them "almost automatically" at the top of the list. Users known as "reply girls" realised that by responding to popular videos, such as those featured on the YouTube home page, their own content could receive a significant audience.[1] By selecting a suggestive thumbnail for the response, often filmed in a push-up bra or low-cut top, posters could encourage viewers to click the image and view the video.

Did some of those end up going on to become bigger YouTubers with sizable channel audiences themselves, or not really?

No it doesn't. I had to delete a few seconds from a video recording and I spent 2 hours using fucking Photos to edit the goddamn video. I was so frustrated.

>fan of niggerball
yikes

Nah, SB Nation does videos about all North American sports. That's just what came up.

What do you think of what OP ended up with? I noticed this guy standing out, not only once, but twice.

Not OP: I don't know who that cunt is but I've never had such a physical and emotionally angry response to a human face before. I want to curb-stomp his ugly soy face. I can't be the only one?

He's a very over-confident, pompous looking guy, yes?

I've never seen his videos before, but I see his face all over the internet. I hate him.
OP is a failure right out the gate for not using dark mode.

I reduced his face to around half. Is it any less punchable now? Almost looks normal, I say.

kesha is hot, though. perfect west coast trailer trash girl

2007 -- 2011

Just one eye still triggers me. His eyelid wrinkles also still look like he's laughing at me.

Short, wide, no tits, Hank Hill ass. E bitch is built like a bag of rice.

Far from hot.

she's 5'10, and she has alright tits. I find it hot when women's bodies are a little bit gross, ie built like a fridge, like chloe grace moretz, or kesha.

Still just as punchable. Nope. Still hate him.

It does exist, that was the answer to your question, yes it exists.
