I feel you. I used to read on a college level in elementary school, but because I was forced to read so much boring shit school made me hate reading (and everything else for that matter). It's become an unreasonable challenge at this point, but I've read a bit the past few years. I do need to finish a book I started a few months ago, however.
There's no time like the present though, user. Just do it. You'll find it's often more entertaining than you realize because you're so accustomed to visual entertainment you believe you won't enjoy reading. Find a nice book that suits your genre. Personally I love horror like H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe.

I think I read it in my 10th grade AP English class, but I've obviously forgotten much about it if I have. I prefer fantasy and horror. Speaking of which, I got the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' books a couple months ago, and have been meaning to read them.

I like 80s and 90s metal. I started out with thrash and got way deep into some obscure and underground stuff, and then moved onto a bit of death metal. From then on I branched out to slower stuff like stoner metal, a bit of sludge, and the past few years have gotten more into grunge and alternative metal. Basically I've slowly progressed from super fast and angry and in your face to a bit less heavy and slower. Soon I'll just be listening to dad rock lol.

Around here, Comcast has some music channels they offer, and my brother, for whatever reason, likes to listen to them, keeping anyone from watching TV when he visits. To fill the screen, since it just audio, they rotate factoids about the band playing. Imagine by Lennon was on, and I look up at the factoid just as the line "Imagine there was no possessions" is sung, to read that his white suit from the cover of Abbey Road sold for $118,000 at auction.
