The karma system ensures that only what's inside the meta will succeed and the gold system means that memes and decade old inside jokes will be prioritized over anything relevant or factual.
Best subreddits are anything that is small related to your niche interest that has sensible rules that creates engaging, quality content.

Yas Forums is where smart people pretend to be stupid.
there might be something to this.
the hivemind has run amok.
the point system becomes an issues of determining if you wish to say something right vs. something correct.
the most mediocre post can get gold.
the most insightful will be ignored.
they've become pushers of the mainstream, not that i'm going to blame them. gotta make that money.
my biggest gripe though is they ruined spacedicks. they should be ashamed of themselves.
