op bump. I like Timothy McVeigh, his reasoning for his bombing actually made a lot of sense, and I think the FBI had made some huge mistakes with the WACO and Ruby Ridge incident. It's a shame he blew up a daycare center in the OKC federal building, but other than that I really sympathize with his cause and methods.
I think a bomb may be one of the best methods, especially if you're careful not to leave fingerprints or dna anywhere

Tarrant, the Christchurch shooter, also had a pretty good score and his manifesto was an interesting read. If you buy into the white supremacist idea that we're being genocided by replacement I can see on some level why he did what he did, although the effectiveness of killing 49 people is a small token effort and doesn't do much in the long run

Let's talk methods, do you have a favorite? I kind of like the anonymnity of bombs, or the Las Vegas shooter also had a pretty badass method of shooting people at a concert from a hotel room. For agonizingly long minutes people weren't aware of the shooting because of the sound of the concert and confusion

Interesting, its always been my contention that James Holmes intended to escape after shooting up Aurora. Did you know he rigged his stereo to blare while he was at the theater, and left his door unlocked and boobytrapped? His downstairs neighbor almost set it off, then got a bad feeling and left the door alone. Had she done so, the police would have been distracted by the explosion at his house and he might have had a better shot at driving off

Well Howard Unruh, one of the greats, predates Whitman as he had his spree in 59. Also a fave...you simply have to read his story
But going even further back in 1914 or so German Ernst August Wagner went nuts in a small town, setting fires and shooting at the people escaping them
