We aren't 'getting more;' what we're getting is easily disposable/forgettable garbage that is emulated a dozen times over, and commoditized at every step until it's (artificially) no longer considered "popular." At best, now, you'll have cash-cows like Dragon Ball milked to the point of exhaustion, with fake fans driving up the prices for *everything* and ruining an otherwise pristine subculture with real-world problems (like, who cares if athletes saw 2 mins worth of Naruto? Further, why are they not translating anime directly, and instead, putting their own words/narratives in the characters' mouths?).
It isn't 'gatekeeping,' we'd just prefer it if you left it alone, and went back to fawning over sports and "reality" TV.

I'm not talking about milking old series for more profit. There's a lot of good anime and video games made in the last decade with original and creative story.
Also you've got a boomer mindset saying that 'older is better' just because you're blinded by nostalgia. Video games older than ~2005 look like absolute garbage and story isn't necessarily better than nowadays.
It's not like they were made with 100% passion and weren't created solely for profit. It's the same with new games, maybe publishers do it for profit, but they fund it, actual games are written by normal humans.

there are several endings but not much difference between each one - you just gotta do some side tasks in a preset order to achieve them with little pay off so ye - it is kind of a 1 ending game. (Still better than what they did in vanilla DeusEx and ME3)
