my friend replaced the valve cover sealing. It allready started to lose some oil and it was dripping on the exhaust mainfold.
also, as I was driving to him my engine suddenly stopped working (I was on the autobahn at 110km/h as this happened). I could start it imidiatly but hat the engin malfunction light glowing. I still managed to drive to him with ease. as it turned out the connector for the camshaft position sensor was replaced and that repair garage did a flimsy job. I soldered it all together and it's working like a treat :)

actually it was the best moment! I was the only car in about 1km sight, the road was straight and flat.

man i really love germany for this reason, doesn't autobahn allow any speed you want?, meaning you can go like 200 km/h if you wanted

the car I had before broke down like every month. I didn't had the money to do it, but I have the right friends and I'm not afraid to get dirty. under istruction I feel confident to work on my car. without instruction I'm only confident to work on motorcycles (I had a motorcycle at very young age and for me it was obvious to fix it myself).
but this time I asked my friend to replace the seal (I did it with my last car myself), because I just didn't wanted to do it myself :P

yeah, you're right! there is a "recomended speed" of 130km/h, I like to travel at 110km/h because it's the most fuel efficient. but still you can have speed limits on the autobahn. actually there are not many routes without a speed limit. it's like you have 100km of autobahn, 70km is speed limited, the rest isn't.
a regular speed that I'm driving (if I'm late) is 140km/h and if it's free 160km/h (I don't like to be late, so I stand up early. but sometimes the bed is to comfy). by driving at these speeds I mange to win like 7 minutes on 100km track instead of driving with 100km/h (not really worth it, but psychology tells something different).

the regular speed I'm driving ist 110km/h.
BUT under time pressure I also travel at 140km/h to 160km/h. I'm avoiding time pressure but like in two of 100 cases I can't

I wanted to point out: on a track/route that is 100km long, I only win 7min by driving faster than my regular speed of 110km/h. I know that it's not worth to take the higher risk of driving faster. but still I feel better at the moment driving faster
