Actually, no form of ethics disagrees with killing animals for food.
You could argue that deontology and divine command would tell you that "killing is wrong," but it is said elsewhere in the Bible that it is entirely okay to kill animals for food, and even encourages killing animals for sacrificial purposes in the Old Testament.
