27 Solomon said, “Don’t kill the baby.” Then he pointed to the first woman, “She is his real mother. Give the baby to her.”
28 Everyone in Israel was amazed when they heard how Solomon had made his decision. They realized that God had given him wisdom to judge fairly.

This is a schizophrenic man who writes number puzzles.
He wrote a book about a baby pineapple who goes missing, and is located after a number puzzle is solved.
I think this is just a harmless schizo, the reason this feels so sinister is because he refers to the little pineapple from the story as a child, or a missing baby or whatever, when really he just means the character in his schiz-fic.

By all means, continue. I know I will, this does seem really off-putting. But from what I can tell from the photographs this guy is seen in, he's a cripple with handlers and he goes to events to do scavenger hunts and puzzles with kids.

'The little one' is the little pineapple that came out of the big pineapple, in his story. The kid in the pineapple costume could either be just some kid he dressed up to represent the character, or less likely but more freaky idea, that kid is now actually missing.

Also I wonder if they chose the pineapple as their main symbol because of their obsession with this one abduction in queensland. I've attached a screenshot of the wiki on the kid, notice the reference to a pineapple as the landmark of where he was abducted.

These puzzles probably do not have solutions that can be reached intuitively.
Schizophrenic people have important presuppositions grounded into their world view. So fundamental to them that they assume others share it too, which is why they say things that make no sense. They assume you know all the same things they know, even if they're completely made up delusions.
I would wager that these puzzles require information that exists solely within their author's head.
