Well, being into firearms is just like being into anything else. You buy one of a certain type and you enjoy it and then you decide that you want one of a different caliber or of a different design, then you may want a long gun to try out and before you know it you want a bolt action then a lever gun then you want to try a break action or maybe you want to try some in different calibers or ones with differing features.
Perhaps you then get into competitions and it requires certain guns and you pick those up. Maybe you are really into history and you want to own the different firearms from different periods.
It is just like anything else. You can get a tattoo and then decide you want a different one from a different artist.
