A bunch of birth defects (neurogenic bladder, some bowel problems related to scoliosis, etc). My family was dirt poor and didn't really do enough to get me help, but the problems very gradually got better with time. Then I got on ditropan when I was older and that helped a lot. But yeah, I was pretty much 100% incontinent until I was 9 or so, and had really bad urge incontinence and dribbling until 19 or 20.

I already answered this a little but my bowel control got better over time (pretty much normal by 12 or so), and my bladder control improved too, but I still had dribbling and lots of accidents until I got on medication as an adult. My family was redneck as fuck and mostly ignored the problem (though they did buy me diapers and later these totally inadequate pads).

I used to wear some very similar to those when I was younger. They're far FAR less comfy. Massive amounts of friction on the plastic, plus it looks like it would explode..

I got switched from ditropan to detrol a lot, back and forth, depending on insurance. Both worked fairly well but after being on them for about ten years, they kind of stopped working.

I think it would be nice to wear adult diapers under jeans while in public. I could be shopping or something and just take a shit and piss right then and there and go about it like nothing happened

Shit tends to stink too much and is a pain in the ass to clean up. Pissing a diaper in public is doable, though, as long as you're well hydrated and are wearing a decent diaper that wont leak.

It's really unfortunate the state of the medical industry.. Most of it is just using kids as guinea pigs for some surgery that has no guarantee of doing anything helpful. Insurance will pay for it, what do they care if it doesn't work.
