Movies I agree on, purely visual retelling can only go so far before they have to start changing pivotal details just to be "different enough" from the source material. But videogames I don't, I play the same shit over and over even without remasters. Applying everything we've learned about game design and rebuilding these great games with great gameplay/story makes them feel even better. Especially crazy old games like ps1/earlier.
If they start completely remaking 360 games for the next gen consoles then they'll have gone too far

They wanted to peel away from it as soon as they could, but fans wouldn't let them, pretty much until 15. you were "attracted" to the original game because it was innovative (at the time) and had good graphics (at the time). things have changed a lot since then. of course the game's music holds up very well because the soundtrack is so good, but every other aspect of the game was in dire need of remaking. i am 100% sure the remake will be MUCH better than the original in every way besides the music, unless of course they use the original music.
