If you paid $70+ on your fucking food, and live in a gated community with a mansion that has 3 cars at the front and you tip 0$ fuck you.
If you paid $70+ on your fucking food...
k
Cool. Fuck you too
I'm tipping 0$ just because you expect me to and get mad if I don't. Fuck you too.
American butthurt
Hahahahahahahaha
Literally tip the door dash people lowest possible amount and I always eat some hot sauce before answering the door. Get fucked gig economy cucks.
Why hot sauce?
When my server smells and acts like trash, it kind of ruins the dining experience
imagine risking getting some black womans fecal matter in the food if you don't tip her 90% (as per american pro-jew tradition).
why dont americans just pay base salary?
it makes blacks not spit/shit/piss on your food, and the jews angry.
This isn't a restraunt its doordash
>be doordasher
>throw their food from my car
>$0 tip
>mfw
Thank you, I needed that laugh come and order doordash I'll only sprinkle a little jizz in your food
Underpaid Jobs like these will exist as long as idiots like you keep accepting them.
You get baited by the promise of making hundreds of dollars in tips on lucky nights and then you jump head first into this retarded system.
It's your fucking fault, there are a billion different jobs that don't require more than basic education and skills and that you could easily do and be 100x more economically stable than running around delivering food and hoping that some good souls pity you enough to hand you a $10 bill for the hard work of ringing a doorbell with one hand and holding food cooked by someone else in the other.
Get another job instead of willingly enroll as a slave and then bitching non stop about it.
I would take your advice more to heart if I didnt make much money from doordash, it's also not my main job but due to the wuhan achoo I have been furloughed and have to doordash. I make more than you would think from doordash, this one instance just pissed me off
Retard. You aren't entitled to free money.
I am well aware that you can get way more than you would expect from such a job, which is why so many people blindly jump right in. It's almost free money.
But then your entitled little asses go through a couple of nights where some meanies didn't give you free money and you have a complete meltdown about it like it's their duty to pay for your stupid decisions.
It's a risky business, if you didn't know that before you started then it's even more your fault. You gambled a stable income for some occasional or frequent bursts of more money than usual. Deal with it and don't bitch about rich people not giving you free money when things don't go as expected.
Or your company could just pay you a living wage. Ungrateful bitch. Its called a tip not wage for a reason
Fair enough cant argue with that, this did start out as just a thing to do when I wasn't scheduled on my normal job, idk where the "gambled a stable income" thing came from.
Real question OP. Why dont restaurants blacklist addresses for not tipping? Just stop taking orders and tell them why. "I'll never eat here again"... Good... "I'll post this on social media"... Good...
The real solution is to get rid of tipping culture in the states but that's not happening anytime soon.
>pay me tips at my shitty job
>reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Totally agree, there is a blacklist for certain restaurants who mess up orders or have missing items.
What I meant was that you could have gotten another job where you get paid more or less the same amount every week or month instead of getting a job that is underpaid by default and that relies on luck and pity to get to a decent wage and sometimes above it.
It's not a stable income and you chose it to be that way so you can't blame the rich dude that didn't tip you off if you haven't set a record that night.
Now I couldn't know your situation so I assumed this was your main source of income. It's even more baffling to me that you are complaining when this is just an extra job to pass the time during the pandemic to get extra cash.
Good to you for being proactive and doing something instead of locking down at home watching your bank account go down, but don't complain when luck doesn't look your way for a night if the whole foundation of most of the income of that job comes from luck.
Your fault for agreeing to a "base pay" of 3.50,
the fuck kind of retard works for that kind of pay?
It's not the restaurants that do that (why would they anyway? It's not them who get the tips) it's the delivery guys.
There are plenty of Telegram/Facebook/whatever groups of delivery guys that blacklist addresses that never tip so that they can refuse the delivery or they can fuck with your food as retaliation.
The base pay is random, goes from 2.50-10 it's just based on how busy we are
Yeah, I see where your coming from. I'm just big mad for a small amount of time.
Ah a fellow food delivery dude.
Anyway. Yeah that guys a dick, i fully agree with you, but lets put that aside for now.
No one owes you a tip, its equally dickish to expect it, and to shit on people for not giving you money that was totally optional for them to give.
Your app tells you the minimum guaranteed pay for each order. You accepted the contract, meaning you found the terms and pay acceptable.
Dont fucking cry when at the end of the order you find out it wasnt more than you were promised and fully agreed to.
What kind of retard agrees to pay like that? Then complains that other people besides their employer doesn't pay them enough?
Im another delivery dude.
These jobs actually pay well. 20-30 an hour in the right location if youre picky with orders. And like him, it was a side job until i lost my job to covid 19.
Heres what he didnt mention. The app tells you the pay without tip before you accept it and its totally up to you. You can refuse with no repercussions. So for us delivery folk, whining about tips is ridiculous.
Im in the driver fb group for my provider. They used to tell you the tip before you finished the order. Thank god they stopped doing that. The lowest shit stains do this job. Some would accept tipless orders just to fuck with the food to stick it to the customer. People are garbage.
delivery drivers are in demand now. You guys can start demanding things like this and if owners/managers refuse then literally cross the street to the next restaurant and get another job.
Bartenders don't serve customers who don't tip on a busy night. Bar owners don't say anything to them. What's the difference? I can't imagine how busy you guys are right now. Owners lose a driver because they refuse to allow this, they lose tons of money.
Could you find another job now and ask $12/hr? Just keep interviewing? There's obviously a demand.
Other non jaded driver here. He isnt telling you the whole story. The pay is based on an algorithm. It is not random, itd based on a lot of factors. Size of order, distance, whether or not the restaurant is fully partnered, the contracts with the specific restaurant. Were also independent contractors. It is our right to refuse any order. And its literally just a button click. There are no consequences for not accepting orders. You can have an acceptance rate of 1% and they cant do anything. They do incentivize higher acceptance rates but thats up to the driver if its worth it.
You can make like $30 an hour doing this job.
As I said in another post, im in the social media group, and anyone can do this job if they have a license and a car. So you can imagine the dumbest people get into it. And they just love to fucking whine about nothing all day long.
See
Get a real job faggot.
I tried to refuse and doordash said my acceptance rate would drop from 100 to 85 from this 1 order. I never declined an order and I never have been late. There is repercussions, lower acceptance means lower orders
Oh this is Uber eats/doordash. Sorry for some reason I thought it was like domino's drivers.
How are customers not rated? It should be a 2 way street.
Wait you expect tips on delivery? Are they not already paying for delivery? If so, fuck your entitled ass, I thought this was the first legitimate tip complaint I've seen on this site until I realized it was delivery.
Fuck off dude. At least theyre working.
A job is better than some POS leeching off a system intended for the disabled.
Get a real job, faggot.
>Implying you deserve tips
Enjoy your coronavirus.
I know this is bait. But yes. Delivery drivers are paid shit and have to use their own cars. You should tip a driver just like you should tip your waiter and bartender.
And this is why people hate you and don't give tips
No, it doesnt. They cant penalize at all for low acceptance. They got sued over it. My acceptance rate is 40. It doesnt matter.
I dont know who youre with but doordash incentivizes high acceptance but they do it on a weekly basis. Thats all they can do. Encourage you to accept more.
>my acceptance rate dropped from 100 to 85
Yeah. Thats how math works. Refusing an order widens your gap. You will always drop faster than you climb. Same with customer reviews. Nuff people act like its a scam, but its not. Just plain ol fractions.
I live in a country that isn't retarded, delivery fees pay for delivery drivers. The customer has paid for the delivery service, they have paid for the food, why must they pay you on top of it?
a tip is a gratuity, paid for exceptional service, earn it pizzaboy
>(((doordash))) earns $900m in revenue in 2019
>accepting $3.50 to make kikes in SF rich
Also, if it dropped that much, then i am certain youre new. Ive been doing this for years. You can refuse orders. Its fine. No matter your platform.
Ya guy. Its cool.
Were not talking about your country faggot. I agree the US is broken. Even restaurants that charge a delivery fee generally don't give that to the driver. It's fucked. The only thing we can do is legit stop going to those restaurants for blatant abuse of their employees but people still keep ordering from there.
Why the fuck am I expected to tip before finishing ordering delivery? At sit downs, I tip 0 on the debit card but leave cash for good service, that way they can cheat on taxes if they choose. But I don't understand why I should tip before the driver even accepted the job. My last order, I tipped average and the food sat at the restaurant for 45mins waiting for a driver and my food was cold and shitty. I would have tipped nothing if I had the chance.
why don't you just cook your own food bro
it's calming and women find it attractive
it's also a survival skill
Checked
Is there no way to tip after the delivery? What a shitty system.
I suppose you could give cash at time of delivery, but you are expected to tip at checkout and if you tip nothing then they spit on your food, and right now everyone is doing contactless delivery.
You know what? That's fair, the system is rigged. People ordering in shouldn't have to tip, but the companies SHOULD be paying the drivers a decent wage. I can understand restaurant tipping, but the way they use it as an excuse to borderline slavery wages is fucked.
I live in a country less retarded but still kinda retarded on a few things.
Its a catch 22.
Tips (after it was "to insure prompt service") were a depression era thing. Restaurants couldnt afford workers so people pitched in to keep them running.
Then it didnt go away. Then laws and greedy ass managers made an excuse to pay their employees less because they make tips.
And now its all whacky. Some waiters/bartenders make fuck loads of money off of tips to the point its silly. Some dont make enough at all.
Truth is, theyre totally dependant on tips because of their payscale. If people keep tipping, it wont go away. If people stop tipping, families will starve. The government needs to step in and they wont.
And even if they dont, tip culture is ingrained. So we tip. I tip. But yeah, theres a shit attitude in people when they dont get tipped now. A waitress who doesnt make enough? I understand. A delivery driver who can pick orders and make enough without tips? Ya fuck that guy for bitching. Im a delivery driver. Idgaf if im tipped or not. I accepted the contract knowing the pay.
How the fuck do you think I got this awesome mansion in a gated community? Not by tipping plebs like you hahaha. You'll deliver what I order and you'll like it.
Right but even on Uber, you tip after the ride. Why can't the app time the tip differently?
tipping is bullshit. your boss s too cheap to pay a living wage so he floats the cost of your wages to the customer.
Good question. If you have to tip before delivery, then it's not really a tip then is it?
All they have to do is get rid of the exceptions in the minimum wage laws. That's it, the problem will sort itself out.
Different fag.
I dont know about uber but with doordash doesnt matter. With doordash theyll hide the tip even though you tip before. This is because they changed the pay model (again from people bitching too much about tips and shot themselves in the foot. Thats a great story if you care), so under the new model the pay for an order without tip can be kind of low. Too low to be worth your time or gas.
So they hide the tip so youll accept low orders thinking it might be higher than theyre saying. It is usually not.
Uber would probably end up doing the same.
Get a real job
Yep. Like i said. Government needs to step in. They wont. Lobbyists. The US is fucking awful for that. And my country, Canada, is a lot better for the government trying to make things fair but they still somewhat bend to lobbyists and follow american models.
I think thats also because we have so much US business, so they influence regulation.
i live in gated community with a mansion but with 1 car and 1 bike and i leave 0$ tip
im fuck you free?
>got laid off 2 months ago
>don’t qualify for EI
>dont qualify for gubby gibsmedats
>canadian
Fuck trudeau
Fuck ford
Fuck the chinese
I live in a gated community in the tool shed. I am a groundskeeper. Fuck you i tip $0 and you deliver my food how i like it.
I wonder if you guys could sue doordash for hiding the tip. Because if the tip is preemptive then it should legally be disclosed in the offer.
