what do you mean by technical? like the project management for the show as far as the resourcing and scheduling and everything? or technical as in the process by which the show is shot (i.e., the cameras, the format, etc.)?

All the technical aspects. What cameras to use, how to send the proper signal to the LED walls, etc. I then hire and manage the technical crews. The camera operators, the LED technicians, the graphics operators.
>How do I ask them for more money?
I don't think that's how free money from the government works, son
That's pretty cool. So really, in the entertainment world, the producers are essentially managers?
Ah yes because US Marines use European decimal separators

It's like they force you to get a job. And I can't work which makes all of this a total let down
They can be. Different producers have different responsibilities. Like executive producers are responsible for finding the budget for the project, Line Producers are responsible for the flow of the show, segment producers are responsible for individual pieces or “segments” of the show.

Yeah, I'm in an "associate" position. Fresh grad. Basically how you get into the industry if you didn't do heavy undergrad research. In about a year i'll be in the 75k a year range. I'll hit 6 figures in about 2-3 years, but that's because i'm getting a masters currently.
