I work in the upper echelon of trades (electronics repair), with a two year degree and 20+ years of experience so I’m making close to $50/hr. But I’m in tech support now, in highly specialized and critical industry supporting field techs. which I can do from home. If I weren’t in a support role, I’d be out of a job even though I work in trades, as a member of IEW. Not all trades are immune from being out of work, so don’t be a fuckin douche dude.

Someone in my extendedly family works as a mechanic for a car dealership who's currently working 20 hours a week but getting paid for 40. Meanwhile I'm still working 40 hrs as an engineer for the steel industry. Yet he has the audacity to complain on Facebook that Congress should be taking a pay cut because workers are being sent home without pay.
