Aside from phones, what sort of cameras do you use?
In b4 /p: I didn’t want to ask a bunch of photographers and spark som brand/sensor size debate. I’m just curious about what others are using. Generic pic of subject.

defs not a canon R

Sony a7m2

Nice, I love them but apart from th touch menu thing. Otherwise I’d have another Sony for sure.

The kit lens is utter garbage but i use some vintage glass

Really?
Sony kit lenses I’ve seen are generally pretty good.
Pretty light construction, but decent actual glass in them.

Fujifilm XT4 for just carrying around. I also have an older Canon 1DX Mark 2. But it is absolutely obnoxious for just normal day to day use.

I got an A65 when they were new with 2x kit lens. I’ve been through a bunch of other cameras since then, but always kept the A65.
Have some great pics from it.

I want the fast lenses for cheap, so i use vintage.

Ha ha yeah the D1 is a beast alright but damn nice picture.
What’s Fuji like? I was thinking about an X100V to fit in my pocket. Ish.

>nikon d3300 for proper good pictures while traveling
>samsung nx5 for experimenting with weird old lenses
>an infrared converted sony compact camera
>a vivitar 35es rangefinder for my film needs
>a premium minolta compact from the early 2000s for the ccd sensor
>a xiaomi k20 for everyday shit and snapshits while traveling. 3 cameras in a phone is kino.

5dsr

Decent collection : )
How’s Nikon? Not as available here in NZ as Sony/canon and perhaps surprisingly, Panasonic.
As a result, I’ve ended up with 3 Panas and a Sony.

The fuji is really nice. There are a lot of really good reviews with people with a lot more experience with it than I have ( I have only had mine about 2 months, haven't been out to use it much cause been busy with work ).

Currently have a Canon eos 700D, does what I need it to

Thanks, I’ll try for a demo.
I had a 450D for ages, still some of my favourite pics taken on that. Canon is the Toyota of cameras a reckon. You know it’ll be pretty good all round.

i got an a7ii with 28-70 and 50 1.8 fe

Shit we’re pretty light on pics for a camera thread.
This is off my old 450D.

Nikon D500 & Nikon D3200 digital SLRs with wide range of lenses ;
Nikon Keymission 360 ;
Trail Wildlife Camera designed for continuous unattended use.
Home Security cameras.
Multiple cameras as integrated into Laptops, Tablets etc., but rarely used.

Sony A7i

i have a canon 70D with magiclantern. i like it, especially for video.

I got it when i didn't knew too much about photography and i kinda regret it. Wish i had gone with the a6000. The lenses are more expensive because of the weird af motors. You can't adapt older lenses properly because of the huge flenge distance and even if you do and lose infinity focus ability, you can't get a light reading off it. It's a good camera for normies that don't plan changing the kit lens but once you get to understand what you're doing, it's really limiting. It does take good pictures but so does my phone so that's that.

Yeah I just recently came to understand the Limited By Lenses thing.
Got a Lumix S1R. There are lenses out there but the prices are fucking insane. I got it as soon as it came out and expected prices to drop a bit, so time will tell I guess. Looking at Sigma 12-24ART next I think, but still $2800 here last I checked.

I know this looks shopped and too warm but it was sunset, it’s actually pretty accurate.

Anyone else going to post a pic?

Lumix G7 + 12 - 60mm f/3.5 - 5.6 and the 25mm f/1.7

Nice. Do you think Pana will catch Sony in a year or two?
Nobody ever thought Sony would ever be a big player in cameras...

Also, do you use it for photo/video/both?

both, the G7 is a beast

I don't really know, but both have their benefits. I think I'm gonna buy a sony sometime if i have enough money

>mft crushing anything
lmao

Yep they’re pretty cool from what I’ve seen. Just had a quick play with one, but they’re solid build, great pics and excellent stabilisation from what I’ve seen. I’ve got a few Lumix, and the only thing Sony wins on in my opinion is focus speed and tracking. But then there’s low light banding, so I guess you gotta choose between that or speed.
I mainly do landscape/nature pics, so S1R for that, my trusty Sony A65 for sports (old but still fucking wicked fast focus) and Lumix TZ110 for my pocket when I’m just out and about.
What software do you guys use?
I’m currently on skyline Luminar 4 and HDR 2019.

There’s full frame too.
Each have their benefits.

the one you have with you

I was hoping not to hear that outside/p, but yes...

oh damn, that's a really nice pic. congratz!

Thanks mate.
Couldn’t get low enough shutter speed even with ND filters, so it a 3 pic HDR, but only really for motion blur.
This is over processed, took it in my first year of photography

was rockin norita 6 x 6 but why bother phone does all

Is that a humblebrag or what?
They’re not exactly common, nor particularly affordable.

Hyper bump

Nikon D3300

EOS 800D

Nikon d3400. Pretty great dslr for the price point. Pretty fool proof

Lumix GH4
Ricoh Theta S
I also have a bunch of 35mm point & shoots that I've been collecting.

550d imo if you cant take a good photo with a crap camera a good one wont help, ib4 poorfag, ive got a 80d and a 1dxmkii but ill grab the 550 if im going out

I totally agree. I always take my wee Lumix unless I’m going for a particular reason. Still takes a great shot. Nobody has been able to tell the difference yet except for me because it fits in my pocket.

Fujifilm xt20. Pretty good mid tier mirrorless imo

Nice, I’ve never used a Fuji but hearing great things. Will consider fixed lens too like the 100V - I think? Not entirely up to play on Fujis. But I’ve seen some great shots and heard nothing but positive things about build and image quality.

Fappin to that glass

I hope the virus kills anyone that uses variable aperture lenses on an interchangeable lens camera

BlackMagic Pocket Cinema 4K
It's the balls

Found the hipster

I don't even know what a hipster is
BMPCC4K shoots in 4K 60FPS, in RAW

Also, I'm a porn producer

It’s pretty good to be honest. I wish I could afford equivalent for my full frame!

Ha nice, one of my friends did porn for a bit. Can’t remember his porn handle, and won’t post his real name. Made centrefold of Hustler, smashing a waterfall on on page, smashing his industry gf on the other. Around July ‘04 by memory. She called herself Tiny Tobee or similar. Settled down with real jobs and family now.
Anyway, how’s the black magic for photos, or not really it’s forte?

Yeah, forget photos. You can take stills, but only for reference.

Just stick to videos and extract stills in DaVinci

Teeny Tobie? Something like that.

Would be cool to have RAW vid. None of my cameras do that. But to be honest I only do stills. Did a timelapse on my iPhone once, but that’s literally it.
