While the breakout was large at first, massive testing and social distancing helped keep deaths low and has allowed us to flatten the curve quickly. We were one of the top 3 infected countries in February but now we're not even top 10 and have more recovered patients than infected.

Compare this to what I've heard from my friends in the US, where I hear some people are being denied hospital services or testing and grocery stores are constantly out of essentials or are reduced to rationing. It's insane. You guys sound like Venezuela over there.

My girlfriend works at UCSF hospital in San Francisco in the ICU. They have a whole floor of Covid patients and a bunch of them are dropping dead, or about to. Her boss tried to downplay it at first. They weren't even wearing masks around the hospital unless they were on the Covid floor. Shit changed really fast when a few of the staff got sick and a part time doctor died. They whole hospital is wearing masks now.
