depending on the damage a drain, clean, replace head seal... the worse that can happen at this moment is needing to rectify the head, which may imply a lot of work, but you're not at the point in replacing the whole engine.
usually this kind of damage is because the shit properties of the coolant, or the coolant being fake. always use quality coolant, even if you're overpaying for it, it's not something you change often. Also, diluting 2 types of coolant lower the heat transfer properties and damage may occur. Also is your engine is supercharged or not, may contribute to damage... I had a kompressor model once, and when the boost controller went bad, things started going haywire, since it's not easily controlled as a turbocharged one. But idk if the kompressor tech changed from then till now... that car would have been 18yo by now... instead it's been sold for parts...

coolant quality? mhmm... well... I honestly never had to refill any coolant, they do that at the dealership when it goes in for service every (idk how many) km. The only thing I do pour into the reservoir whenever that one cooling light goes on is distilled water. just that nothing else :/
