I'm a sales manager at a car dealership, been off for two weeks now and the shutdown goes til the 30th(probs longer). I'm 34, make about 110k a year and I feel for people who are living paycheck to paycheck during this

work in an office job that's just having everyone telework. Still getting my usual paycheck. Haven't been more glad for this kinda dull but stable office gig than I am now

>economy

trumptard detected

because your money is more important then your health.go thump your bible out of here retard

I Work in a tire retread shop. ESSENTIAL for what ever reason.

Retreads are cheaper than brand new and we can both retread and change tires so we are essential.

Postal contractor

Are they still paying you a bit?

non essential which translates to: you can do your job remotely whenever the fuck you want so make your own schedule.

Yes. Gray area if we should be working, because we aren't really essential, but just happy to have a job.

Buy cheap food (not necessarily junk). Just stuff that you can get enough of (2 to 4 dollar items).

I work in the curbside pickup department for a grocery store.

Kill me.

Essential. Today I was told soon we'll be getting masks with the corporate logo that we'll be required to wear.

Someone left the door to the echo chamber opened and a retard wandered out.

I'm in the military so essential but not essential?

Chemical and environmental analyzer technician at one of the giant chemical plants. Essential personnel obviously and yes, health and safety are taken extremely seriously. More strict than hospitals with safety precautions. No groups larger than three, face mask, face shields, gloves and goggles mandatory as well as scrubbing hands and arms. No one closer than six to eight feet as well as rigorous health screenings coming into the plant.

Essential

I work for Amazon in the maintenance field. Amazon is considered essential there for I have to work.

Non essential, but that lead to me getting an essential job that pays better anyway.

I have the strange distinction of doing what's restaurant work but extremely essential.

So, I still have to go to work. No teleconferencing from the safety of home for me.

I've always been considered non-essential.

How much cheaper? Doesn't the labor alone make retreating more expensive? Oh. You're probably talking about big tires. Not 80 $ tires.

I'm tech support and I always work from home.

coronachan will instead

Both you and your company sound like a massive faggot.

DSP with the developmentally disabled. Apartment program.
Essential? More like sacrificial.

Non essential retail warehouse

Essential employee hauling liners for cipp Nationwide. Unfortunately I am classified as essential.
People on unemployment will make almost as much as me on a 40 he week.
Pissed off but proud of them in a way.

I approve of how thorough your company is being.

Essential for probably the next two weeks as our business drops a full 80% from where it was. Can’t be essential if there’s nothing to keep running.

Another of the Essentials here. My self-described term for us is literally "Suicide Squad", lol.

I've pretty much embraced the possibility of my own death. You kinda have to to make the fear go away.

I.e I go to work knowing any day I could somehow contract Coronavirus there and seal my own fate. But I am resolved to do my job.

That job is easy working 3rd shift if working in a residential home as opposed to a group home.

It infects from 26 feet away.

I work at a paint store. Apparently it's essential that I deliver all over my city and state but obviously since I wear gloves and a mask everything will be a-okay. Can't wait until they have to fucking make a news article about how I spread this virus to different parts of my state because painting houses is essential

I work in a infectious disease lab... so essential unfortunately. One of my co-workers is a hot e-girl/goth/metal head with really perky tits. Atleast I have that going for me.

Work as a pizza delivery guy. Am considered essential, and business is booming

Too many businesses claiming to be essential. Lawn mower repair? Landscaping?

The world cannot survive without pizza delivery.

You fall under hardware so you're considered essential. I work in a hardware store, but it got closed because management are chicken as all hell.

Honestly, no sense in being miserable during the potential end of the world. I will mow my lawn while Rome burns.

or not fucking autistic like you

I was considered a piece of shit before and nothing's changed now

To guys like me you are. Gotta go up to Detroit Michigan and shuttle trailers all week because one of employees has Covid. I might have to use pizza delivery as a means to getting food.

Idiots. All they had to do was enact a solid sanitization routine. Sanitize before, sanitize during, sanitize after.

Essential.

DevOps engineer at the state's largest health insurer.

I forgot to mention management doesn't spend money on janitors. We're expected to do the cleaning on top of all the other stuff we do. And we're expected to clock out exactly at the end of our shit

>Spend many years thinking I'm bottom of society
>Society finally tells me I'm critical important
>And all it took for society to tell me this was the end of the world

We got a spray bottle of alcohol to spray in each truck we get into and the hotel rooms. I know how you feel.
Basically just be clean like your supposed to and practice social distancing you'll be fine. But still.
What if you forget to do one simple thing?

Not all heros wear capes, some have a lit sign on the roof of their car

They could have easily just hired more guys and assigned different groups of people to cleaning duty. Clear compartmentalization of roles.

I'm so not essential.
. But still getting paid... So not complaining.... Had to refuse two job offer since this shit started

True, but that would have involved spending more money. And at the end of the day they would rather pay me to stay at home than keep the store open and hire more people.

Get this, corporate sent us an email that said if we're "legitimately afraid" we could take two weeks off without any consequences... then my manager said that if anybody actually does it there WILL be consequences. My gf has serious asthma and is afraid that it will kill her when she gets it but he doesn't care

>Had to refuse two job offer since this shit started

What do you do, user?

Take that Mack and put that bitch in the wind.

Attached: Chillin.jpg (1024x768, 79.46K)

The left hand isn't talking to the right.

essential, my place had two cases of coronavirus. two people have the virus. when i get there they have people take our temperatures to make sure we don't have a good temperature.

i don't feel clean there though.

Working in a hockey stadium was deemed Non-essential

Corporate is higher up. Id say take it off and file for unemployment. I would in a fucking heartbeat.

Attached: Clicc486.jpg (400x300, 25.05K)

These are jobs that can be done completely without human to human interaction.

I used to work as a defence virologist before the coronavirus economy. Now I'm totally obsolete. No one is going back to work except for people who take the vaccine once it's ready but no one knows when that will be...

Yes they do. Corporate doesn't want to look like a bunch of heartless asshats, but management knows better.

Bingo.

that's not a "job" per say, as much as it is just living in the woods alone, hunting and fishing and being a hermit.

I understand that.
I think every job can take precautions without ruining the fucking economy.
Restaurant could be open of people sit at booths.
Eh idk. Local restaurant in my town offers carry out alcohol but why not just buy a six pack at the liquor store for the same price?

Attached: IMG_20191019_152919_423.jpg (1772x1772, 1.05M)

The government says it’s essential for whatever reason, so I work from home and get my check as usual. It’s fun because my job is completely non essential and ridiculous, but the government disagrees. Yay.

I don't think anybody should go back to work. People only making 10 to 50 bucks an hour what a joke it's embarrassing and it's the only way to take down this big outrageous business that don't pay taxes they're fucking ass over with that 2.2 trillion dollar deal and everybody sold out for a lousy $1,200 I wish I can sue the people who vote on all sides

Yes. Registered Nurse. My ward is now a backup ward for Covid patients. Daily life ins't altered for me much, I still catch the train into work, still go to the shops as needed. It must suck to lose your job and stay at home as much as possible.

lol I’m a Benihana chef, they fired everyone ex. To Go
