AK cuz parts are cheap and so is the ammo. The only places you'll find plenty of ammo for STG44s are in Syria and certain parts of Africa.

PS90 is great, if you have a shit ton of ammo in reserve. Not really an shtf go-to unless you're looking to leave an expensive trophy for the guy that runs up on you with a shotty or handgun.
Reloading a 50 round mag, even with practice, takes a minute. I can't get ammo for mine right now. Honestly, getting any ammo is a fucking chore.

Last of the parts for my AR pistol build should be here Friday. Nothing fancy just some creature comforts. Made sure to get it chambered in 5.56 NATO so I could shoot 5.56 or .223 depending on the circumstances.

I also have a long-barrel AR that's chambered in 6.5 grendel for long-distance shooting I have about 250rds for, wouldn't count on a supply during the ronapocalypse, and another AR that shoots .22lr and weighs next to nothing that I have about 2,500 rounds for.

Plenty of handguns chambered in 357, 38sp +p, .308, 22WM, 9mm and 45 as well as plenty of ammo for them too.

Pretty sure I'm covered.

The STG is still widely used today in the middle east. You can still buy the ammo online pretty easy too.

Unless you live in a country where the standard issue isn't a rifle in 5.56 there's no excuse for taking anything except an AR-15 or one of its derivatives.
