I did heard Kingston makes good cards, and they are not even that expensive.

Had 256 GB one from Kingston. Got corrupted after a year of use. Now i got 128 GB Kingston made for cameras. Works without any issues.

128 GB should be a minimum, 256 GB and up is what i recommend unless you like to reinstall.

Handicapped should soon get modchips but i still wouldn't recommend them.

P.S. Be careful to not get a brick code rom, there are many great places to get actual roms from.

I've heard that the most space they have, the easier it is for them to corrupt. In average, what's the size of an switch rom? I usually go for lower stuff, like getting 16gb or even 32gb, I think a 64bg one for the switch should be suitable depending on the size of the roms.
