Why doesn't Russia invade the Chinkychongs?
Are they all faggots or something?

As a vet that now misses that bullshit pretty much every day, I would reup it in a second.

no

only if I’m the one who gets to drop the nuke

I never got the idea of military service. Soldiers are just a tool in the political toolbox. Doesn't seem to be any glory about it. Just tricking fools into nationalistic pride.

You literally get send out to die for the small group of people that play Risk on a global scale.

I suppose you have to really really believe in your leaders...and I just don't. It's all a revolving door of corrupt scumbags.

I can weigh in a little here. I had an Intel job that was all about keeping ground troops safe from ambushes or IEDs. The politicians will always send these young, undereducated dingdongs straight into the lion's den for profit or political clout. While I never thought we should have been in Iraq at all, I knew I had a chance to help protect my fellow countrymen and I did it as best as I could. Military service is a very nuanced thing. Some due it out of a sense of patriotic duty, however misguided. Some very poor folk so it for the nice paycheck, the healthcare, and the post service benefits. Some just do it because they're bored.
