The Danganronpa games
I literally just playing the Bioshock trilogy like four days ago. They do have good ones.
jet set radio
fallout 2
Duke Nukem 3D
One man's journey to deal after aliens shot up his ride
system shock 2 nigga
based response
WILDLANDS funnest game ever!
You posted it nigger. An underwater city in the 50's/60's overrun by drug addicted maniacs with superpowers due to the drugs theyre using? They must have been on some drugs when they thought up this story plot but its good and its probably my favourite single player game (gif from infinite i know)
Half Life. Prove me wrong fag.
Did you play Infinite? What did you think?
I just finishing playing it a few days ago and I'm interested in other people's reactions.
In recent memory, I really liked somas story.
Doom...
Kotor
witcher 3
Fire Emblem 4: Genealogy Of The Holy War for the SNES
Two generations of a conflict. Themes range from the consequences of calling your ideology a "holy war", the value of royal bloodlines, and how there is no black and white good and bad in war.
Plus you get to pair people together and play as their kids so that's cool.
Pacman
The ending was awesome, a total mind fuck but orgasm inducing. Overall I’d give infinite a 8-9/10. But my favorite bio shock game is the first one.
A male eating balls
Such a good game, watched a play through on YouTube like 5 times.
Honestly probably Xenogears
Infinate is so BORING. Seriously gameplay is so basic. Why use any plasmid but bucking bronco? I never touched anything else it's broken.
Bioshock 2 has the funest gameplay, you can do so much. Buuuut the story doesnt have that big twist like the first so people shit on it.
Maybe not the most complex storyline but hitman was always the most intriguing premise and the most fun to play all night at sleepovers.
Fallout New Vegas, Heavy Rain, Deus Ex, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid
not that one
jesus
Yeah i played it on the 360 literally the day it came out, had it pre-ordered. I thought it was really good, the graphics were amazing for the time and are still great but its no Bioshock 1 & 2. Its definitely a breath of fresh air if you played the living shit out of 1 & 2 like i did. (Bioshock was my first game for the 360 whole reason i bought the console because it wasnt for PS3 at the time) overall id rate Infinite 8/10, amazing story but it feels like an arena shooter at times which gets annoying.
lets see
half life was something
halo had great gameplay
nfs most wanted was a cool story
mario was something
heavy rain was something
sonic was something
> Deus Ex
This, absolute kino. Anyone who played it blind is going to be blown away.
Maniac Mansion
Suck my cock!!!!
>most compelling storyline
The original Deus Ex. It was the video game version of a Dave Emory rant about secret power. It hasn't aged as well as I might have hoped, largely because conspiracy theory has changed from eccentric and become ugly instead of eccentric.
I also quite liked Sleeping Dogs.
It would only be a short story, but the Shalebridge Cradle levels in Thief are right up there.
Deus Ex obviously
oh i missed this one
Currently playing it for the first time and it's amazing, it aged great when you only play nu-aaa games like i have. Only thing i dislike is the lacklustre character creation & the fact that shitty AI
Legend of Kyrandia: Malcolm's revenge
I’ll admit, the vigors were pretty much useless, I can count the number of times I used em on both hands. But it had a good story and good gameplay.
Bio shock 2 was fun, but the story doesn’t beat the first.
What about planescape torment? I heard only good things about its plot, character and the way it deals with philosophy. I started playing it only recently but I cannot express my opinion yet. Anyone that have played it can confirm it?
Spec ops: the line
Try to go into it blind. I remember playing it on the 360 and it being the only time where i felt awful after gameplay choices (mind you i was in my mid teens then) but it tells a hard story, not pulling any punches, amazing writing, what the new MW was trying to be in terms of its grityness. Gameplay is eh, but for such an amazing story its worth it. Not to mention besides telling an amazing story, it also calls into question a lot of what you do as the player, without hitting you over the head with it
Once again go in knowing as little as possible.
(Other choice would be fallout new vegas, or mgs 2 due to how relevant its become today)
I thought Katana Zero had a good storyline, especially in its presentation and worldbuilding.
Yeah me too. It did existential horror so well and jesus christ, that fucking ending.
Based. Kinda hoping the game gets adapted into a got like show
Never played the first two . But infinity was great played it a lot of times on the 360 it's something special in my mind.
Also OP Fallot 3 and New Vegas
Stronghold crusader 1&2
Skyrim and Oblivion
Spacestation 13
The Walking Dead! Final Season specifically was the peak of the entire franchise.
Bruh I was fucking distraught over that ending. A secondary consciousness sent to a satellite while you are stuck at the bottom of the ocean for the rest of your robotic life. I’d end myself right there
> Shelby was the killer despite us literally hearing his internal thoughts throughout the entire game
> They took control away from the player & made him kill someone off screen
No
These
What OS? Win 10?
Based
First impressions are all that matter, at the time the plot twist was shocking & mindblowing. People didn't hate it until years later
Not only that, but in a moment of rage, you destroy the only companion you have. It was rough hearing them just rage at eachother after you kind of had this bond with both of them.
Damn OP. That's fucking hard.
If I had to pick just one it'd probably be The Last of Us.
That game creeped me out. Kinda wanna watch another play through of it now
Unironicly Gta 5
This shit had an interesting story
>without hitting you over the head with it
Well, not so much in the game itself.
That game has the absolutely best cut-screen message ever: "How many Americans have you killed today?"
I agree 100%. KOTOR was one of the first games I ever played and was just a good story from beginning to end.
This. Also other old star wars games like jedi outcast ends academy.
Un-ironically cod black ops 3 campaign was compelling as hell. Infinite warfare was almost as good. The campaigns in many cod games are really compelling.
>Halo 1-3
>Gothic 2 gold
>Morrowind-playing right now and is getting kind of tedious, oblivion, skyrim, fallout NV, 3, 4 sorta
>Zelda windwaker
>Fucking FABLE
>beyond good and evil
>timesplitters?
>metro 2033,2034
>s.t.a.l.k.e.r.
New Vegas
solid choice for what it is, but nah
If gta v has the best story to you then you haven’t played a good game
Horizon: Zero Dawn
a great evolution for the aesthetic.
Combat and level design was meh.
The story had a decent twist, but 1 did it much better without the multidimensional nonsense.
8/10
Not him but it's a pretty immersive story at least
>why use any plasmid other than bucking bronco
Personally I thought Bucking Bronco kinda sucked, I used Shock Jockey as my main late-game Vigor, but Infinite was mostly gunplay so even then I rarely used Vigors in the first place.
Wind Waker has always been my all time favorite Zelda, it has the best story & characters in the franchise. It's a shame it went downhill after that game
Came here to say this. The plot is brilliant. Almost didn’t get translated at all because of the religious themes.
I learned Jap just to be able to play that in the original language.
"Outdoors"
It has viruses and crazy people, and the graphics are to die for.
Halo 3: ODST
The atmosphere and they way the game made you constantly feel alone was amazing and so memorable to me.
none of them they all are just jewish made object use to control your mind
You didn’t like Twilight Princess?
Metal gear solid
>arena shooter
>all weapons are hitscan projectile rifles and shotguns
>no rocket launchers or splash damage effective weapons
>no limited time power ups to boost ATK, DEF, or SPD
>no advanced movement techniques such as bunny hop or rocket jump
yeah. that sounds like an arena shooter to me.
I did when it came out, i tried playing it now & it was unbearable
I agree, but it didn't necessarily go downhill
Was kind of tedious
I'm adding super Mario sunshine
It is good, and I’ve played it multiple times, but it’s just not the most “compelling.” There’s so many better stories out there
literally the worst and most nonsensical fucking story ever.
Out of all the FFs.
What about the Kingdom Hearts games? c:
Ugh...
I loved every FF up to X. I reserved a Jap copy of of XIII as soon as I could, and picked it up on release day.
I quit after about six hours. It’s pretty, but the gameplay is... I can’t even describe how pointless and disappointing it was.
Perhaps Lightning Returns was half-decent, but this game betrayed my expectations so hard, I never even tried it.
FF7R exists, they retconned the original game, Sephiroth sides with Cloud now, Aerith is alive, Zach is alive. the game is actually a sequel to Advent Children
Where the fuck was the damn loose brick?!
Nier Automata
Bioshock 1 is pretty damn good too. I was believing Atlas the whole time like a 2 IQ moron.
a few compelling storylines in videogames:
Mass Effect 2
Resident Evil- I played it on the PS1 back in the nineties. the premise is awesome, a special forces gets sent into a house full of zombies and gets wiped out, your team is sent in to find out what happened. and it gets better from there
Final Fantasy IX
KOTOR
Last of Us
and an honorable mention- any Civilization game when Gandhi becomes nuclear strike Gandhi
I mean WoW WotLK
Hands down my favorite.
