They litter trash everywhere. They don't take care of their apartments. They don't parent their children to not be menaces to the people who mind their own business (like me). They blast their gangsta rap at all hours of the day and night and have their children up at all hours of the day and night making a huge fuss for people living downstairs when there's plenty of space for them to play and even a playground.
You're telling me that poverty, no chances to move ahead, and whatever the like has anything to do with it? We're located in the heart of many medicine stores, drug stores, restaurants, and even within walking distance of TWO colleges/universities. There's a car dealership within that range and many places where we can work and earn a living.
The school system is black-friendly and affirmative and there's college programs dedicated to our race ALONE (this is not racist, somehow, but ok).
We have many opportunities available and still we destroy ourselves with our garbage music promoting violence and destructive behavior, then blame the gobberment and white people.

there are things I agree with in your statement, and things I disagree with. one, I do agree that there's alot of us that don't make any efforts to better ourselves, but there's alot of us who are trying our hardest to make a living with the card we're dealt. and there's plenty of black people with felony charges from bullshit crimes still ruining their job opportunities. it also doesn't help that the ones addicted to drugs aren't getting much help to beat their addictions, all they get is a lengthy prison sentences and a felony to make them even more unlikely to find a job, which puts them back to drugs. Alright, tat's a fair point, but you do know that addicts generally don't think what they're doing is a problem? Like, we can't force them to get treatment. There's a mental health facility also within walking distance (it's a really convenient location, this apartment complex) and I used to ride my bike back and forth when I had family issues. They have cars.
