>to even draw a simple head
Then work on simpler shapes. Any head, as any body, is a bunch of elements from circles, squares, and triangles.
Another way is to learn what's beneath skin, be it bones, cartilage, muscle. It like a rock under a mattress, even if small, you can notice something is wrong fundamentally that offsets the entire structure of the image.

also recognize that your own art is good. no need to make something that looks like what someone else does. make your own unique art

Watch youtubers. Anyone you find remotely successful in their production are great role models.

I don't know of any good tutorials to follow.
so I should start studying anatomy first to get a better understanding?

Attached: dafbbcd.jpg (1026x1825, 240.69K)

Im going to keep pretending its her

Step 1: draw something
Step 2: repeat step 1

>so I should start studying anatomy
absolutely, but not too crazy like a medical student might.
It's a foundation you can't go wrong with having, though what your style will be takes time to develop.

my art isn't good though, like at all really. I draw worst that a 5 year old.
do you know of any places to start?
it's gonna be hard for you to pretend after looking at this.

but my process is like this.
step 1: draw something
step 2: realise it's shit
step 3: give up for another few months.
are there any sites you can recommend?

>are there any sites you can recommend?
wiki'ing heads and faces will suffice.
Again, remember, it's not one shape, but the forms of many blurred into one.

your process is wrong. try

Get some Sakura Pigma Pens and get to work. Easy as that. Also, this black guy is the best teacher I've ever found youtube.com/user/LighterNoteProd

Post more ass so I can pretend more

I'll start looking then, thanks for the advice.
he looks quite helpful.
gotcha.

All the fucking assholes that advice Jewtube and give no channels or videos should fucking get infected already.

For me what mostly worked was "The Natural Waty to Draw". I pirated the pdf online, can't really sauce you now. Yeah, I know it's a little hyphocritical but at least I gave a more specific name.

>he looks quite helpful.
He's literally the best fucker I've ever found. I started trying to draw when I was 9 years old. 25 now. That black man made me a professional. Haven't watched him in years, though, it might be his old videos that really helped me.

Learn about shapes, you could draw anything.

I might look into getting the book legally once I start taking this seriously.

i'd say whoever made these had too much time on their hands but I just played Playstation for 9 hours so...

SOOC ME

Trust me, just practice, but practice right. Look up tips and new methods of drawing, whether it be off a typical Google search or a YouTube video. Feedback from anyone can help, as long as they're honest with you, I can assure you that you'll be ass at the start but not for long.

You've probably heard this so many times and think it's stupid and won't work, but keep practicing and trying, it will take you a while but it will pay off.

there was a point in my life when I was practicing non stop, but I ended up giving up due to me thinking I wasn't making any progress. but now that I think about it, It probably did help me some.

It's the only thing that helps, tbh. If you can't see the world in like 4 shapes, you'll never be able to draw. You got the sphere, cone, cylinder, cube, etc.

Master those basics shapes before moving onto anything. When you're walking around IRL, look at things and think about their shapes.

now that I think about it, back when I was a teenager trying to learn how to draw, I did spend alot of time trying to draw shapes in different perspectives.

Draw

thanks user, very helpful.

Attached: 93050bd.jpg (1242x1568, 181.62K)

On the whole drawing thing, I know this will sound silly and you've probably heard it 5000 times but really just draw draw draw. Like you won't think that you're making any progress because it happens slowly over time and you just won't notice it, but I know that the drawing I did last year are shit compared to what I draw now. The stuff I drew 3 years ago is like night and fucking day and the shit I drew in highschool is not even remotely comparable.
That being said where I am now and comparing to my favorite artists, I have a long way to go.
But if you have material that you made in the past, draw the exact same thing but do it as best as you can. If you see progress then you know you're progressing and it's not in your head, if you don't see progress... well maybe give up then. But I'm talking like a large amount of time, weeks and even months might not even cut it, I'm talking years of even just casual drawing and you should see a difference.

I'm pretty sure she would smash my pelvis into smithereens but death by snu snu would be worth it if it were her.
Also her tongue is so long omg

COOF COOF

I could try practicing again using my old stuff.

practice you lazy beta faggot

coof

already infected, fag

online classes might help you out
i get classes at udemy but you could check other places

For a long time I felt the same way about not improving until I compared my skills now to my old stuff, I'll even take an older work and just do the exact same drawing but things like anatomy and line art are just significantly better.
Really just puts it into perspective because if you just compare week to week you won't notice a difference.
Think of it like a tree, day to day, even week to week or even month to month, you won't notice it changing. But several months? You can definitely see the changing of trees between the 4 seasons, but day to day they look exactly the same. It is not until we see what they once were long ago and compare it to how they are now that we notice any difference, same goes for drawing or anything really. I'm a musician by trade and while I can't notice the progress I make day to day, I certainly can tell by just listening to older recordings of myself. Drawing is just a hobby of mine but again stuff I drew long ago doesn't compare to what I can do today.

congratulations, this bitch has successfully made me coom

I just became cured wtf
was me.

nevermind, still infected lol. I'm dumb.

I think my biggest problem is that I give up way too easy, it's extremely hard for me to just focus on getting better. but this year I plan on improving my art to the point where I can be satisfied with a drawing.

Attached: 75a01db.jpg (960x1171, 91.33K)

I mean really there was a long point where it just felt like smashing my head against a wall every time I drew because I was so dissatisfied with everything. You just gotta push through it, just keep going and going and going, honestly it's like a lot of things.
Think of it this way, you can either be passionate and push through the hardship and head to wall smashing feeling and hopefully become a great artist, or you can be some shitty normie who will live a shit life and be a wagie with no hobbies, just consume and sit in front of the tv while you rot.
Honestly the thought of being some lame sack of shit with no ambition, some pathetic creature with nothing special about them at all is what drives me to become a great musician. I'll practice a few bars of a piece for hours just to get it right because so few of the population can actually do it. Makes me feel good. Makes me not feel like a waste of space.
And while music is my main passion I also like drawing/painting and want to get into other things like leatherworking, poetry, woodworking and other arts that simply elevate the person that you are.
Any fuckwad can go work some shit job, only a few can be a great artist of some kind.
