I just rate things between more believable, or less believable. For an example: while I think the theory of big bang is far from complete, and some parts of it are a bit iffy because they rely on other parts that are also on the verge of supposition, I still find big bang more probable than magical space father and his goons creating reality. But I don't know, and I won't claim to know.
Gravity too is a theory. There's ample observational evidence that suggests it scales with mass. But we do not know what it consists of so it's also up for debate.
