I would expect more blood on the wall/cabinet/bed from a gunshot to the head unless he shot himself while laying down, which wouldn't explain the broken bottle.
It's weird that he only used that side of the bed, but he has an open laptop and what appear to be condoms on the other, unused side of the bed.
By how stuff is left around, he seems to be left-handed, so the gun could be in the correct hand for a suicide.
All in all this is not enough stuff to rule out either scenario.

To me looks like something was discovered on phone or laptop and they either left him causing him to kill himself, or they killed him and made it look like a suicide. After all there are condoms and possibly women's clothes on the bed meaning someone else was probably involved.
