nope, didn't capture anything good from the original, atleast if they had went in a new path i would be less miffed about it

first off ed was removed from the crew, and the hyenas didn't get the same attention as with original, minor more simplistic roles, scar and simba didn't look different enough from each other, so it was easy to mix them up during the fight, most of the characters were dumbed down, for the most part, and the scenes don't have the punch they used to have, not to mention the expressions, which the original lion king relies on
