I struggled with sleeping patterns my entire life and eventually realised I'm just built that way
HOWEVER there was and still is one thing that fixes sleeping schedule like nothing else

1. All nighters don't work
2. Turning off all lights at night DOES help but doesn't fix the problem short term so you still need discipline
3. No idea if melatonin helps, I never tried it

Anyway, I picked this up from an article in a shitty magazine on an airplane, of all places. It's something business people have been using for jet lag for decades.
Simply stop eating after dinner the first night you land (or whenever you want if you're not travelling). The next morning have a BIG breakfast and a walk outside. This works because the circadian rhythms biggest factor is food- we're programmed to sleep at times when food is less available, so waking up to a big meal means you're programming yourself to repeat this time. It takes a couple days on repeat if your sleeping patterns are particularly bad but it still works

This happened to me in college and it was a bitch to fix once I got a job. Took about a month of being really tired. Get out of bed at 6am and get into bed by 10pm, and just lay there even if you cant sleep. Dont take naps. Sounds shitty and it is but thats what it took for me to break the cycle

I tried melatonin, its okay as a routine/ritual to get in place, but doesnt make you a lot more sleepy. mostly good for stuff like jetlag

This sounds weird but go camping for about ten days. No screens. You fall asleep when it gets dark, you wake up when it gets light.

Problem right now is you can't get freeze dried food. But make your own jerky and you will be fine.

lets say you go to sleep at 5 in the morning and wake up at 4 in the noon, but you want to sleep at midnight and wake up at 9 in the morning.
what I recomend, set a timer to wake up one hour before you generally wake so in this example 3 in the noom, and them sleep one hour earlier at 4 in the morning.
make this one hour jump every day or every other day, in two or 3 weeks you might be able to achieve your goal.
I dont recomend just staying up all night because it is very hard and even if you manage you probably wont sleep when you want to because your biological clock will need more time, this will make you mad and you will give up.
you lived like this for years, a couple weeks is a small time to pay

Yes you will probably lay in bed awake for an hour or two but you will fall asleep and you will fall asleep earlier than you would have had you not gone to bed.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it should be large.
