If you got even further, rape was a regular part of society. You would normally rape the woman you were going to marry, if the marriage was arranged, you could say the entire marriage was rape. It was even accepted to marry children (if you go back far enough). This girls were all raped by today's standards. But even within our lifetime this has changed.
