That's a dark rum, so honestly you want to sip it. Drink a little, savor the taste before swallowing it. Honestly you won't need a lot to get drunk if you've never drank before. I would suggest drinking a glass of water beforehand to cut the hangover some.
Keep in mind it's gonna taste like burning. Alcohol is a poison and you have no acquired taste for it. But that's also a really, really nice rum. I'm a rum drinker and I don't have a bottle that good.

C’mon guys don’t fuck with him. The taste is strong and it will burn your throat a bit, so the trick is to just tilt your head back and down as much of the bottle as you can in one gulp. It’s like weed, you don’t get as high the first time, so you have to account for it and do extra. You’ll be lucky to get buzzed off half that bottle.

rum is pretty tasty, but not everyone likes it, if you like it try to feel its taste, if you're looking to get drunk drink it warm and i think as fast is good, but don't overdo it, after a few shots give it some time to sink in, and make sure to drink a lot of water if you want to prevent a hangover later on, i usually do 3 cups of water for one of spirit, but you can add more to be safe, it won't do harm, last thing is you don't want to get too drunk, you probably won't know when you're too drunk since it is your first, but once you got a good buzz you should stop there, there's a point where you're too drunk that its not enjoyable
