I was just thinking about this movie while I was in the kitchen, just scrolled down and saw this - mind blown. Whats even more trippy is I swear my cantaloupe just moved as I was writing this.....wtf
these are signs
user
be careful
you want bad found footage that's watchable? i like it sometimes when it's late and i need to get drunk and stoned after homework. i have lived with a projector giving me a massive HD screen for years and it's cool to have them on because it's dark here, and it can feel like i'm with them.
try "grave encounters". there are two. the second is a half-decent meta-sequel.
with this series, remember/realize that it stars with part 4. part 5 is a prequel to part 1.
That would have tripped me the fuck out too
Spanish kino coming through
That was low budget beaner trash. It was the worst acted film I've ever seen.
Only the first film. The others were shit.
I agree with this. Too bad they don't have it on Blu-ray
here's one you might not think of as a top tier movie- Bad Boys
there is a lazy story device called 'fridging', where something bad happens to a female character to motivate a male character. it happens a lot in action movie. Bad Boys turned fridging on its side, and made it the comedy focus of the movie. the escort in love with Will Smith gets killed, and normally that would motivate Will Smith's character. because of the mix-up, Tea Leoni's character thinks Martin Lawrence is Will Smith. the comedy set up is for the whole movie, Martin Lawrence pretends he is motivated by the escort getting fridged, and Will Smith has to pretend he doesn't care that she got fridged. Tea Leoni's character is the only one who gets motivated by the fridging
another nice use of fridging is in Avengers Endgame. Black Widow dies, which should provoke an emotional response from Hawkeye. but Jeremy Renner couldn't act or show emotion if his life depended on it- all of the emotion and meaning from Black Widow's death is provided by Scarlet Johansen, with Jeremy Renner providing zero emotion or meaning
I LOVED that movie. Then I looked it up on imdb for some factoids and saw that people generally thought it was shit. Wtf, I thought it was claustrophobic and atmospheric as hell. Not seen any other movie like it.
the only vampire movie I've seen other than scooby doo
Ahh that movie was Kino. It was actually scary because of all the claustrophobic moments.
I fell asleep after a few minutes
does it have happy end
Watch the original instead, way better movie.
there's an original?
dude, literally none of those are top-tier. Why would you post the dark crystal and not Labyrinth.
>imdb
that's where you went wrong, user
Unforgotten Perdita Weeks
Else: .
>Donnie Darko
Seriously shit movie

Second was okay. Third is awful.
Checked and yes same kind of thing, it’s pretty good.

Lol
Grave encounters was really enjoyable. The 2nd one didnt come close but it was alright
I was also in the kitchen thinking about this movie earlier today. The fuck?
Now you’re talkin
To be honest i like the suspense and alien shit gets me hard . So i love this movie
Nice
the irony is that most Yas Forumstards are aware of this because of the gore and the edge factor, when in reality it's a much more nuanced allegory about religious myths and there's a ton of truth to it.
definitely don't watch while tripping that's for sure.
If you think that is a "top tier" film.....
Just give up now.
My friend and I got high as fuck one night and he put this on. I couldn't take my eyes off the TV. That shit had me so uneasy and anxious. It was amazing, I haven't had a movie make me feel legitimately freaked out like that since I was a kid
This shit was 100% top-tier. If you ever had an interest in ancient alchemy, you'd think so too.
A bit meandering and maybe 20 minutes too long, but really good found footage/documentary horror flick.
this is worth watching
elaborate on your metrics for quality. this movie isn't terrible but it tries to do too much and its clear they lost budget near the end given the convoluted escape scenes.
if you want horror/thriller that checks all the boxes, the curse of la llarona is hard to beat. fucked me up for months
Shutter Island anyone?
>top tier movies
>As Above, So Below
Go fuck yourself
Would rather watch Garfield than Shitter Island again.
