Iunno, maybe it's just 'cause I've had a bad personal experience? Another downside to a surface pro is if the battery shits itself, it's nigh-impossible to fix unless you're willing to potentially crack the screen + replace that too.
Yeah, now that I think about it, it's a lot more clunky than my SAI2 workspace was. Hmm. The problem is, I like having the ability to see a couple rows of brushes, the brush settings menu, the size menu, and a bunch of colour things up all at the same time.

It's just in the way... I can see why some people do that, but I like know exactly where my tools are at all times. I let muscle memory do the finding for me.
I only have the one monitor, else I'd probably have a completely different layout... I agree the brush shop is fantastic. The animation with CSP is one of the easiest to understand I've seen yet. I've yet to find a software better than CSP. Absolute chad tier.

It's at the bottom, right? That small amount of space is plenty. You could decrease the size of specific tabs vertically. As long as I can see the dock, even if it's tiny, I usual work with it.

Hm, I really dislike having tiny docks, 'cause I end up making brush adjustments I didn't mean to make, 'n it's hard to scroll through my brushes. I use my palette/the colour mixers reasonably often, so normally prefer to have em out, but I guess I'll tab em for now. Honestly, hardly noticed how much space I'd lost 'til I made this adjustment, damn.
Woops, forgot to save my old clunky workspace, but maybe that's for the better, I guess.
Maybe I'll try popping out my palette or one of the blenders one of these days I guess

oh, just realized you're using EX, not PRO. dunno the layout for that, PRO is very compact. you just choose a category and you see all the brushes, like this
