I posted the images to here same as you are.

Thing is the admins deemed one of them underage so tipped off the authorities as they would kiddieporn.

18 months elapsed, and then in January 2016 the cops swooped by and confiscated my equipment as part of Operation Lattice in the UK.

They weren't convinced the problem image was under 18 (porn age in UK), so I was off the hook for kiddieporn images, but they saw details in the image (signage) that marked it out as my local leisure centre.

So 4 months later they came and charged me with serial voyeurism.

Image subjects also included my brother's girlfriend.

Now, why the Yas Forums admins don't also tip off the authorities regarding these images above - which is also largely criminal - I do not know. But that's how it is.

It fucked up my SEO, because there is a 100 word article about my in the local papers. Hardly any readers, but unique name means it was pn page 1 of google. So I changed the spelling of my name. Also the article got my age wrong by 5 years so that was a small mercy. But mine is an ethnically Scottish name and this was Scotland. So king of like living on an Indian Reservation, in terms of anonymity etc.

Also on the sex register for 10 years. And my record disqualifies me from even basic things like . Even having kids is a problem before 2026 as the child services hate any sex criminal of any stripe (except the kneee-grabber etc) and are shockingly impatient and brazen about how they deal with you.

1 or 2 people in my hometown know about it so they could make trouble further down the line if they remember and I get famous for something else. But I'm a business consultant who works from home so I picked myself up pretty quickly. And this ordeal happened between clients.

And my team are in CA, USA, Silicon Valley. Although even one of them saw the bad SEO and I just lied and said it wasn't me.

As for my brother's GF, I'm still off the xmas card list

The NIGHT before the raid, 18 months after the crime, I actually reviewed all my old silly illegal files and placed them in the recycle bin, for final review and deletion in the morning (I don't need this stuff any more - I associate it with my dumb teen years).

Then at 5am I am woken by a knock at the door.

Had I simply abandoned that precaution and his "delete forever" I'd have been fine.

I repeat, the very night before the raid, I almost deleted the whole load of stuff.

One night after 18 months of no raid.

if it gives you any solace, they most definitely would have still got you if they confiscated your equipment entirely since hitting "delete permanently" on a recycle bin doesnt actually permanently delete anything. it's still on your drive just not accessible (unless of course you were using a special software).

Yes, however, the initial scan that they do in your house does not check for deleted files.

Only the more advanced scan at the police station scans for deleted files.

So if I had had only deleted files, nothing would have turned up.

(they don't do the advance police station scan if they find nothing on the initial scan they do in your house)

Also if it looks like I'be simply found and then deleted the files, they wouldn't have bothered scanning them for details, signage etc, etc linking it to me.

It was borderline (maybe 14yo but maybe 18 so no bust), but still got done for voyuerism.

The police are far too busy to both chasing a single 14-18yo image down. There are entire websites that put out jailbait regularly. Yas Forums is a-fucking-wash with those images.
