It's based on what recruiting station you come from lol. I was going to school in Minnesota at the time so I went to San Diego.

It's dirty and literally everyone who goes there gets sick in one way or another. I'm not convinced it's possible to spend more than one month there without getting pink eye. I came down with it the day before I was supposed to leave. Spent that last Monday not looking at anyone because I was worried they'd keep me longer.

I was with golf company. Crucible was the same but we got pissed on by the rain so we did a 20k to the base of the reaper, around the pistol range, and up around the stairway to heaven and passed the chapel to the parade deck where my dumbass accidentally went halfway to parade rest when they called attention.

Chesty puller, first amphibious landings, John Basilone, and a bunch of other shit that won't matter outside boot camp. The martial arts is a joke too. You only practice maybe 6 times before you qualify.
