EMPEROR
In the Nightside Eclipse is unbelievable. Everything that came before it is fucking amazing. I really like Wrath of the Tyrant.
Bathory
Middle schoolers unite
Gevurah - Hallelujah!
Akitsa - Goetie
Xasthur - The Funeral of Being
Darkthrone - Under a Funeral Moon
those middle schoolers and their ulver
those hooligans what next grindcore?
Until the gay power metal Viking rock movement took Bathory from us, Bathory was some of the best legitimate black metal there was, and remains one of the most prominent pioneers of the black metal genre
Hallelujah! is seeming very impressive and exciting, while somehow remaining genuinely intimate. All of your other suggestions are undeniably solid. I fucking love Akitsa.
rebecca black - friday
#those trips ... fuck
Invert the inverted trips
honestly age of excuse was a let down, however this album that you posted reigns supreme as Mgla's most impressive work so far.
I mostly listen to Death Metal but i know pic related is definitely grade A+ Black Metal
Dark Funeral is legit as fuck and cozy as shit. Good call.
Borgne - [∞] has been one of my recent favourites
10/10 stellar black metal.
sounds like total newfag bait
Prime DSBM
Yes, that is the correct Darkthrone album
here is something completely different.
Gay
rotting christ: ritual
Rotting Christ is legendary. I really like their early stuff.
quite weird and obscure, but this is some good shit
Think mgla fucking wittr
Mgla with wittr sounds terrific
these are shit and for posers in an otherwise god-tier bm thread
>doesn't like hammerheart, twilight of the gods, blood on ice
>doesn't think every single album is 10/10
don't get me wrong, the black metal phase was incredible, but you are an absolute faggot if you can't appreciate his viking metal. even his thrash stuff is pure kino.
>THOR OF THUNDER WAY UP HIGH
>SWING YOUR HAMMER THAT CRACKS THE SKY
Hammerheart is an amazing achievement in black metal, heavy metal, and Viking themes. Every album that follows it is an accessibility fueled, rock driven, power metal bastardization of good music for the embarrassingly easily impressed. To not notice such a steep decline in musicianship for the sake of being fucking gay gloryhole feels metal for nonsense newfag faggots who are not smart at any music ever, is to be musically blind, or immediately overzealous for appreciation of how gay Vikings apparently tend to feel sometimes apparently, without regards to instrumentals, vocals, or (cringe) original song structure.
Here is some Viking metal that is measurably less gay and much more respectable.
How can you NOT like hammerheart? That album was amazing. Fuck off with your wannabe elitism faggot
i like scald too. your ridiculously long winded run on sentence doesnt change the fact that bathory is the greatest metal act of all time.
Yeah calling out metallica is just simply being a huge NERD, you're just supposed to listen to that shit
I do believe I harnessed proper grammer. Also, the greatest metal band is Metallica. The greatest black metal band is Burzum. The greatest heavy metal/black metal band is definitely Bathory.
burzum is excellent and more people should listen to things other than filosofem. but im afraid you lose credibility when you say metallica is the pinnacle of my beloved genre. listen to pic related to cleanse yourself of such faggotry.
So far this has very poor vocal harmony and a very uninviting level of instrument playing, but I like everything else about it. I'll probably only listen to less than all of it, because it sounds like it's ultimately not that great. Am I missing something? You should check out Void Meditation Cult, and jesus christ, some actually decent war metal, if you are that taken by it.
listening to VMC cult now. as far as you missing something, you either like it or you don't. im not a vocals/lyrics guy, i enjoy the guitars and drums.
I'm sorry, but this purist stuff is over-the-top corny. I know it's not a cool opinion in metalweenie circles, but it's aged like milk.
I can never figure out if this album art is supposed to be cheeky.
