The idea Democrats rejected due to money for corporations is bullshit. There were restrictions on how that money could be spent and buying back stock or giving it to executives was strictly prohibited.

Furthermore, the rewrite Democrats made doesn't even mention that so they arent really worried about it. Instead they added bullshit about solar panels, money for failing newspapers, money for failing US Postal Service, analysis of airline greenhouse emissions, pay equity, diversity on corporate boards and an earlier mandatory election.

They took a 550 page coronavirus Bill and turned it into a 1400 page bill that was nearly two-thirds of poison pills. How the fuck does any of that help the people and corporations who can't go more than 2 months without income?

People do believe in supply side economists, but that's a lot harder to attack because a sound theory supported by many economists.

The Republican bill would have created a $500 billion program under the Treasury that the executive (Mnuchin and Trump) would be able to use as they saw fit. Trump repeatedly refused to state that money would not be directed to Trump properties.

Supply side economics have the exact problems that the "mythical" trickle-down economics have.
Feeding cash in on top only stagnates the economy. You want cash in the hands of consumers to get the economy working. Even if you somehow managed to funnel cash through corps down to the consumers, those are just extra steps to get the same results. .
