Leaf here, not sure if 101 is available in my province but I'll look for it. I've definitely seen rare breed around. If its just stronger I'm not too interested just for it being 50.5% instead of 40, these days I look for taste instead of getting drunk

The rare breed is good as well. It's not just aout strength, the 101 is aged for longer and has a fuller flavour. The standard Wild Turkey is was tasting piss water in comparison, I won't even drink it.

If you like Alberta Premium, you should definitely try Windsor.
Bourbon is made from corn and isn't peated like Scotch. Frankly, Irish blows them both out of the water.
Dew is the best universally available bottle ever, and hits well above its price class.

101 only benefit is having a stronger alcohol taste, which isn't the primary flavor anyone drinking whiskey is looking for. Stick to you vodka.

Haha. In my limited experience I really enjoy peaty medicinal tasting whiskies like Laphroaig, but I've found what I think is bourbon to be sickly prickly tasting syrup. But I'm no expert. People have tried to get me to like jack Daniels but it's nasty
