I used to work for a PBM handling multiple Medicaids' prescription plans.

Nothing was more fun than telling a doctor's office to fuck off because the med they wanted to give the patient was not suitable. Then the patient would call all butthurt about it; it was great and really filled my schadenfreude quota each day.

I've been jerked around by insurance companies a number of times and it's caused more upset in my home than nearly anything else.

If you can handle the abuse, working in a cable company's call center is probably the one that will cause the most suffering, at least in the short-term. Just look at some of the stories that have surfaced about Comcast: people calling to cancel their service only to have extra months and charges tacked on, or my personal favorite where some guy had his last name changed on his account to Asshole and the bills were mailed to him

I was fired from my last job by HR for going to them. Some guy was threatening to come up to my job to attack me, and company policy was to warn them, no matter how unlikely an attack may be. HR used this against me, saying that I was endangering my coworkers by upsetting this dude and that was one of the reasons I was fired.

If you just want people to suffer you could spread broken glass in playgrounds or salt people's lawns.
