IT's more for my own sake, if someone asks for help, you don't know if they actually want help, you don't know why they need help, or what is motivating them to ask for help, so your offer of help for all you know is feeding into a self serving attitude to gain attention.
More on another side of it, you can't truly say that you offering help is a noble act, How can you offer your hand to someone, without yourself having any training or ability or reason, and not say you're doing it for public appearance, for your own virtuous self? to parade that 'here I am, look at what I have done to this lowly person to dig them out of their own pitfalls?'

What got you to start them?

started them as a protest against Yas Forums's shitty moderation, the site is swamped by trolls, rule breakers, and stale copypasta which literally makes this board anything but random, i figured if all the spam gets to stay here and all the original posts get bumped down or get silenced by the mods i might aswell join the winning side, so i started posting hyena threads but gave people the option to install Yas Forums x and filter me out, i gave them filter lists that includes my images but also other related spam
and either by promoting more spam, and causing more people to talk to the mods about it or leave the board, or by the mods getting their shit together and starting to ban the spam
but eventually i kind of went away from the idea of drowning the board with jasiri and just started doing them for the people that popped in them and the chat it gave me, it gotten me quite a good amount of nice friends along the way
as for why i picked Jasiri, i watched the lion guard not too long ago beforehand and i fairly liked the show and the character, and since the show wasn't well known i figured i'll kill 2 birds with one stone and just use Jasiri as an icon, that's all there is to it really
not too long ago i decided to start working on a program in python to filter out one of the spam posts that festering the site, its not quite done yet but from the testing of it it does seem like it can work well, all i got to do is add the finishing touches and get someone to code a frontend for it that works on javascript
