Has this virus actually effected anyone here?

Has this virus actually effected anyone here?

My life hasn't changed one bit. I still go to work every day. There have been zero cases within 150 miles of where I live.

Attached: WTF-Edition.jpg (1070x470, 23.32K)

I'm a work-at-home guy, so very little change here

I just moved here for a job two months ago. Got bumped from full time to part time, 20 hour weeks. Absolute bullshit, so tempted to drop everything and move back home

I got laid off. A lot of my chef friends got laid off. Bartenders got laid off. Hotels are closing. Which means housekeeping is laid off, front desk non-essentials (not managers) are getting their hours cut, valet services are cut, etc. Gas stations hours are being cut.

So no, nobody is really getting affected.

Still working my job the only thing that changed is having to go in at 6am.

Everyone moved to remote at my job, which is fine by me because I don't like taking the train to work every day. Nothing's really changed in my city aside from shutting down bars and shit. I'm hoping they don't shut down doordash or postmates, because I'll starve. I haven't cooked in like 6 months, I have no food

In the US op?

Not really. I live in the suburbs of a metro area and a lot of cuckservatives bought all the TP tryna be their mid western relatives. Little does anyone understand the virus and so little advise is taken advantage of, people continue going out in public like aforementioned panic buying as well as some retail staying open. People frequent public hot spots outdoors such as; beaches, hiking trails, parks, etc. spread will only get worse. All those who can die will die if they don’t stay in place and even so further isolate themselves from infectious loved ones in order not to get this spontaneously non curable extremely infectious disease. Parts of Americans are acting 3rd world and its only going to keep declining the longer this goes on. Or worse. The more infectious it gets in a few weeks.

It's gonna be interesting to see how all this pointless hysteria will affect the overall economy. Shit's gonna be in shambles, all because the media decided to treat this like it's the fucking end times for no real reason.

a worker at a car factory died from it so they are shutting down. now my employer is cutting our hours so I can barely make rent. hooray,

To blame orange man of course

Bet, What dealer.

just my job. haven't seen no sick ppl

Nope, work from home, play at at home. This is normal for me. Still make my rounds to the usual spots and nothing has changed so far.

PA, USA here. Multiple cases in multiple cities. Governor has called for the closing of all non-life sustaining businesses and urges people to stay inside. Threatens fines, cutting of government funding, taking away business licenses, and possible jail time if people fail to comply. People aren't dying in the streets but we are definitely treating it that way

Well I mean, we don't want the hospitals to be overwhelmed. A week ago in the before times people were already rushing the hospital to get told that they didn't have anything. But I mean Italy is a good example of what can happen when you just can't handle an epidemic. There's definitely a better solution to this than hurt everyone by forcing a quarantine but you know...

Rumor has it Trump is going to enforce Martial Law and truly force quarantines. But there's also a rumor that he's giving out $1,000 bucks so take all of this with a grain of salt.

Partially excessive but the effects of this are definitely severe, it's just about people being sick for a while and elderly dying.
It's going to fill capacity at hospitals, make all other diseases a lot more deadly, cant go to the hospital for surgeries and such leaving many in pain or ends up killing them.

Plus if you realize that 70% of US is overweight or obese, that's already an increased risk factor.. how millions of people don't have healthcare.
How most of the population survives on a paycheck to paycheck basis and has no money or less than a $1000 in the bank, these people are on the brink of massive problems by default, if their car breaks, a house hold appliance breaks.. now imagine all these people losing their jobs, unable to generate income, unable to buy food, unable to pay rent, unable to afford healthcare.

Because otherwise people will be dying in the streets to some degree.. this shit requires a proactive approach, not a respond after the fact approach.

Well shit, now I know factory work probably isn't the solution to my problem. They'll be shut down soon too.

Note: I'm not worried about catching the virus. I'm worried about getting laid off again.

Don’t touch my damn pumpkin brisk!

I agree with it wholeheartedly, just sucks being out of work. Supposedly govn is sending people money if they've been up to date with their tax returns, just a rumor I heard I doubt it

Not much. Just before this happened I had started going to the gym and was enjoying it as a stress reliever and getting in shape and now thats completely gone.

my mistake. it wasn't a death it was a positive test result for a ford worker in wayne county and for a fiat worker in sterling heights. we supply GM and we're close to closing now.

Warehouse I worked at is closed indefinitely due to the virus, but I'm getting unemployment payments and $300/ month food stamps. So it's actually like an extended vacation. I'm loving it. Plus I get the $1000 checks Trumps sending out in April & May. Gotta be honest, the virus has been awesome for me.

My job in California is categorized as essential so I still work my 11-7 Mon thru Fri.
Classes are done though so a little more free time.

You got approved for food stamps??? Teach me sensei

Schools closed, hours cut voluntarily for now, friend and all his coworkers have been let go, only 1 case in the city I live but over 20 whrer I work. In SC.

Guess it depends on the state you live in, but I've been out of work the past 2 weeks, and only make about about half from unemployment what I did working in the warehouse. They approved me about $300/ month til I go in for review in August. I own my home and only monthly bills are electric & cell/ internet bundle, car insurance - together run me about $150/month. So the reduction in income doesn't effect me.

I'm just loving the down time with steady $ coming in

white house is saying there will be a one time payment to "families" for $3000. as a single, i'm probably fucked.

yeah i didn't have to do a 15 min presentation at school and may have online exams. i am also working from home for now.

I could literally watch a clip of Trump saying that exact information and I'd still be skeptical. I don't trust anything that he says.

SHUT UP FAGGOT

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP

SHUT UP SHUT UP
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP

>be college student working at disney
>college closes and announces the rest of all courses will be online
>proffesors dont know what the fuck to do since all their plans are out the window
>made college life 100x easier
>disney closed for at least month and still paying me during the downtime
>i also have an actual excuse to not go outside and socialize now
>other normies are forced to stay inside too
>enjoy watching them bitch and moan about not being able to go outside and socialize because they don't know how to function without it

this corona thing aint half bad

In my state there are a few cases. None nearby where I live. Job is providing hand sanitizer, gloves etc. we’re now working 4 10 hour days a week instead of 5. No one can get a penalty for attendance for a month or so. We can use pto to get our hours if we want to. I have almost a month of pto that I’m hanging on to just in case shit gets bad. Other than that, bars, hotels, events and such are closed. Less and less people on the road too. No traffic for 2 weeks now. Feels good mane

Gas station hours aren't being cut

When you've literally told 15,000 lies who believes you?

Honestly it's sad how much people can't handle being inside for a few days and rely so much on other people for entertainment and are talking of cabin fever after a day or 2.

Yes.

Attached: 1.png (1452x744, 324.53K)

Not that guy but some in my area have. None of them are big brand names though

I don't think we live in the same area.

>honestly it's sad we're social animals
>it's sad we have ingrained evolutionary traits
>it's sad we can't not be animals
lol

exactly

i thought people my age would enjoy getting a little vacation, practically forced to be inside and just relax until things cool down, but no its not even been a week and people are losing their fucking minds, i just dont get it

>effected
No. Affected, yes.

I love it when people understand us. I literally giggled.

Been on lockdown for 6 days now. Just about everything is closed except grocery stores. 26 cases in my town and 1 death but the numbers doubled since Friday.
People are not following the shelter in place orders and I have a feeling that we will be on a full blown military lockdown by this time next week.

there have been almost 300 cases in a 3 mile radius from where I live. we are in voluntary quarantine now. government is considering mandatory quarantine at some point next week.

That's what they're trying to propose. After the Dems take an axe to it (can't have the GoP beating them at the Social Welfare Game, it's all they got) it'll be $1k to anyone making under $50k, with a $500 reduction for white cis families and an extra $2k for the gender confused. Anyone not qualifying as a snowflake making over $50k will get a complimentary black dildo and 5gallon jug of Astroglide.

imagine being this autistic

Loser..

i live in florida and people here are treating it like theres no virus at all

tons of people hanging out downtown, beach's are packed, it's crazy

1 dead here, 1 more today, under 200 infected.. police hour from 17h to 8 am, tuesday maybe a full lockdown cause boomers and kids dont care.. moved to remote, easy cause programer

Attached: 11166059_840116226024797_1395465567_n.jpg (960x720, 71.47K)

Where the fuck did you get 70% from? Everything I'm looking at ranges from 20%-40% and all that is based on is the BMI which is a stupid thing to base obesity on

The Autistic will qualify for an extra $250 payment, so relax faggot, you'll be able to keep stocked on trendies for a month.

What? Calm down. Your redneck boner is showing.

With all these folks working from home, it'll be interesting to see if that becomes more of a standard after this shit gets wrapped up. I feel like a sizable chunk of jobs can be remote, and I feel like there are a bunch of incentives for both employer and employee to work from home (less money on office space/supplies, don't have to pay or waste time for commute). It'll be interesting to see.

I got assraped by my neighbor last night, but I'm not sure it had anything to do with coronavirus

Shit, I just got cyberbullied

Was it a far move?

You should call the cops

I’m expecting Florida to be on lockdown this week

Oh, thats probably why. None of my fucking hours are being cut since corporate just said "fuck it" and sent us sanitizer dispensers and a box of oxidizer spray.

They deserve it. You stupid fucking rednecks literally flooded the beaches when you know damn well there's a pandemic threatening mankind.

You're probably in an industry where you hurt people to profit. That's why you're still working.

Not really, but I'm considered "essential" so I'm lucky. Others like my father and siblings are either losing days or hours due to how slow work has been.

He works at a gas station

Except most of them are from out of town, coming from CA and NY because they're tired of staying in Mom's basement all day.

Fucking THIS

>Anyone not qualifying as a snowflake making over $50k will get a complimentary black dildo and 5gallon jug of Astroglide.
Try not to be so excited about it.

We are young who gives a fuck? Corona kills boomers you retard. The most we'll get is flu-like symptoms. Just keep the boomers inside and worry about your damn self.

Fuck off, learn to be independent you shit.

I work at a glass company that makes 85 million a year with less than 150 people working there. We still have enough work for a full shift in most departments.

Obesity and being overweight are 2 different things.

Have you ever thought about why jails have solitary confinement as the worst punishment? You're literally packed in there with rapists and murderers. But the worst thing they can do is put you by yourself.

It's in our DNA family.

Only changes for me are waiting in line to go into the supermarket, having a smaller selection of things to buy, and no longer sharing my plans of going outside for a walk or a hike with people I know.

>omg don't go outside you might catch or spread coronavirus you shitlord! stay inside like decent fucking human beings do!

Selfish

Well the gym I go to is closed and the food stores got nothing left in them so yea how's it not fucking up my life I live with my brother and he works in the ER he comes home every day over filled with stress and says it's fucking nuts thare he's starting to have panic attacks which he has never had in his life and soon will be working with no gear around people that are dieing from it so yea we both are going to be super fucked soon

You still believe the lies? Smh

There have been cases near where I live, the first guy to die in my state died in a hospital about five miles down the road. Apart from everyone buying all the toilet paper, my life has yet to be affected. I'm antisocial as fuck, so "social distancing" is my default behavior and I'm still going to work tomorrow. There are rumors that the state might go into lockdown like NY and CA but so far most people here don't believe it will happen. They're still buying all the toilet paper just in case, though.

if giving gas to people and selling expensive ass $2 chips and $2.50 16 oz counts as hurting people. I guess you're right.

>If we can save just one life, it will be worth it.

So it's worth millions losing their jobs and mobility; and crippling the economy if it can save one life?

>you can't put a price on a life

Actually you can based on several factors including their net worth and contributions to society

>FUCK OFF REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>working from home
>shops are all closed
>hysteria makes grocery shopping a nightmare

yeah kinda

Aside from panic buying, mostly business as usual here. Bars and restaurants closed but open for takeout. Lotta factories closed, and daycares and shit. I'm still working normal hours, just different procedures. 4 people with confirmed cases in a town of 50k people.

>durr im not going to die im young durr
You're literally proving my point frogposter

My college is online only for the rest of the semester and everything is closed or closing around me.

So it really is all a hoax??? It must be aliens trying to take over!!! The quarantine is so we have less casualties! OMG!! You opened my eyes! Thank you, user.. I was so ignorant before.

>learn how to unlearn hardwired behaviors we can't unlearn
lol frogposter

In my state, most stores are limiting purchases on water and toilet paper.

I work security for a state job that closed the building to the public. I’m currently getting paid to play God of War in my office.
